Schulz

Was excellent early in the year, so hopefully he can cement himself in the side.

Still young, and his defensive pressure is top notch. Just needs to kick the odd bag now and then.

I was excited to hear Jay kicked 7... excited because Port might want to trade with us again for their 2nd round pick. McMahon or Polo.

They say the victors get to re-write history - but unfortunately, you guys weren't victors, so you can't try and tell us Schulz was anything but poor before today.

Today? Yeah, he played at a true Full Forward position where Wallace should have played him. But Wallace's brain was absent for 5 years unfortunately.

:DLMAO .. another subscriber to the Richo held Jay back theory!!!
What a f**** joke.
Ourt forward line was far better with Richo as the focus and is far better now with Jack as the focus!!!Played far better down back in 2008 than he ever did forward!!
Schulz has played his one good game for the year...get over it!!

No joke. one good game and they are all out and about. when he does flip all and gets dropped next week ill lol.

Most of you have NFI

Wallace was detrimental to Shulzs development as he was detrimental to all of the players at RFC

I've seen enough of Shulz to know he could have become a decent player had he not been injured, coached well, given a fair go, and not had Richo "impacting" on him...
We all know RFC was Richo centric

Shulz is a "coodabeen", may still show something, I hope he does

Some of you are very disrespectful when posting about ex Tiger players

It's good to see Schulz doing well, maybe he needed a new start at another club.

I think we'll be fine without him, and plus we managed to get Farmer and a draft pick for him? Is that correct?

sheesh here we go again.

first up good luck to schulz i hope he can make a decent career for himself at pa.

for us well he lasted 7 yrs because he did have talent. the trouble being in those 7 yrs we got very little return for our time and effort.

at the end of the day its up to the players to take the bull by the horns so to speak and succeed.

if we dont move underperformers on more quickly than we acted with schulz we will remain mired in mediocrity forever. 7 yrs is an eternity to establish yourself as a bonafide afl player who is at least consistent and capable of making a contribution each week.

we can only rate them on performance and the tools they have to work with.at the end of the day jays performance was to put it mildly terrible.

regardless of how well or how poorly schulz goes at port for us we had to move on him.

what hurts most about schulz is with no improvement at the end of 5 yrs we were offered pick 28 for him yet those in charge played silly buggers and demanded more than he was worth.
hopefully the new crowd in charge this sort of muck up wont happen again. greg miller hurt us in many many ways.

Laughing at the Power fans on the Port board, a lot of them are getting obsessively excited about Schulz. Some are even going as far to say that they won the trade and Schulz is miles better than Farmer or Nason are or ever will be.

I'd rather one of Farmer and Nason than Schulz, let alone both of them

Schulz was moved around into more positions than than the karma sutra handbook under Terry Wallace..
He really suffered like a lot of our players under TW's tutelage..
I wish him all the best and for the rest of his career however long it is...:thumbsu:

Farmer was going to be delisted. After seeing his performance on a few small forwards, especially Milne, it's clear that he doesn't have the pace to become the small shut down defender that we needed.

We wouldn't have drafted Nason. More than happy with Hitchcock.

Glad Schulz is gone, he's a dud.

He played the odd good game for us too (6 goals vs Brisbane) but never could do it consistently hence the nickname Sgn Snooze. Richo didn't hold him back either even if that's what they want to tell themselves. Last year when Richo was injured Schulz struggled to even get a game and when he did he was crap.

Let Port supporters fawn over his game today, it will probably be 2015 before he plays another good game (unless he's delisted before that which is likely). He's been pretty ordinary all year for Port in the games I've seen, I often go over to their board and all of them have been bagging him senseless.

I totally agree.

And i liked Schulz, i though he was just another casualty of Wallace having NFI what he was doing. He was moved around too much and wasnt developed properly. I said when we got rid of him that he might come back to bight us, but at the end of the day he had his chances (and then some) and couldnt break into the 22 permanently.. would that have changed under Hardwick? we will never know, but i am more than happy with what we got for him.

Wow....big deal! Schulz kicked a career high 7 goals in his 8th season of playing in the AFL. Let us see how he performs against Freo at Subiaco in a couple of weeks, and beyond! In exchange for Schulz, we have snagged 2 regular players contributing to a resurgent Tigers outfit. All you Power supporters need to acknowledge that RIGHT NOW it is Nason and Farmer who are running absolute rings around the erratic Schulz.
