hmm proves very intersting this one - much hype over the pre-season but now both teams are fighting for survival. lose and bye bye premiership. Molan and Grigg debuted on the weekend and were xavier's two best players and with thomas and sos coming back barra faces some tough selection choices. To throw a cat amongst the pigeons some senior players and ones that haved been talked up in this thread might find themselves playing in the magoos this week.
On scotches side they have been very disappointing thus far but expect a renewed effort. like xavier some overrate players here namely strauss. if rioli plays and is fit look out xavier for we all know his amazing talent.
The xavier year 11s have really lifted this year - the likes of lees, daniher, noonan, shiel, grigg have put in some fine performances. The senior players are about to make their mark on the comp so for me xavier has the edge but i guess we will see in a few days time
All in all should be a contest to go down in aps history. Lets just hope a filthy scotch goal umpire doesnt repeat the mistakes from last uear and put on a further blotch on scotch's unsportsmanlike reputation
