McDonald is a Michael Chopra clone for mine.
Small and not particularly quick but an above average finisher/poacher.
The sort of player who can absolutely tear up a lesser league like the SPL or Championship but will struggle more often than not in the greater pace of the English Premier.

Agree with Dyertribe though - it's worth remembering in recent years that top Scottish strikers have really struggled when they've moved south of the border.
