Darkness Eternal won the toss and elected to bat first on a poor pitch at Spotswood Oval, a decision that appeared challenging given the surface. However, openers Raz and GoatBaron provided a steady start, with GoatBaron particularly impressive in his shot selection. After Raz's dismissal, DemurePrincess joined GoatBaron and played a fluent innings, striking boundaries at will. GoatBaron reached a well-deserved half-century, anchoring the innings with poise. Despite losing DemurePrincess after a brisk 51, Darkness Eternal maintained their momentum as Croweater41 added another half-century to the scoreboard. The team ended the day in a strong position, showcasing their batting depth and adaptability to difficult conditions. West Gate Trolls’ bowlers, especially TGRS, worked tirelessly, picking up crucial wickets to keep the game within reach.
