My old friend involved at coldy told me today his name around there club isn't circling too well and he hasn't even stepped foot in the door

I can see his name back in S/A before round 1 book mark it, these types are found out quick these

At least Coldstream will have a few divisions to fall before facing disaster.

I mean people say Powelltown bought their flag, they didn’t have much other choice. The town has a population of 200 people…not like they’ll get players any other way.

Unfortunately everyone came together and left together. Pretty bad situation for the club to be in. Could be an almighty blunder spending that sort of cash on the rooms that if things go really bad are never used.

Or did the fall for the trap of a group of players who follow the $$$$ and they don’t have any, so question has to be asked who paid the players

Money is probably still there but the opportunity for success and mates are all gone. Coldstream is the next in line

Pretty sad really. Amazed if no one at the club had looked beyond the past two seasons considering the people they brought in.

Could be onto something here if I am a nobody just checking in to see what's happening around the league once and a while and see a reply to this same comment a tick after midnight on a Wednesday night

Maybe works nightshift and that's why it's not about money it's not needed

Would have a shackle or 2 on coldstream having there first taste of doubt after the way this has been professionally handled by your newly appointed senior coach during the early hours of the morning

With the President who expected Jugga to play on with Powelltown cause the club and himself went “over & above” to get him 2 Premierships.

Id love a league explanation as to why they would allow them to stay.

Now that this "Northern Division" they were so confident of producing has finally been put to bed what do they bring to div 1 ?

Who at the club? There might not be anybody there with the skills or experience to run an operation sustainably.

Local clubs off the field are generally volunteers that come upon the club by chance. Some get very lucky, others the opposite.

It’s a sad state of affairs but any club from such a small town is going to be up against it both on and off the field.

It’s the off field people that really count - if you have good operators then you’ll weather down times on the field. But as I said, it’s often luck.

Well it seems from an earlier post that the president had in fact thought the coach and co were to stick around. That guy, he was obviously thinking beyond.

In my experience, there’s usually one or two involved looking further than the current season.

I am guessing the Warby approach of going with youth and kids now seems very strong as they will have a club to play at
Powelltown on the other hand might not have one especially if the rumour of having to merge with YJ is true, be plenty of old Demon diehards that would hate that I am guessing
