The Filth Wizard Coachy and Tony are always gonna be profilic posters, that’s who they are and that’s what has them deemed as top 20 posters in the league. In a thread with so many posters (not all from the 2 teams related to the thread) posting so many posts I don’t think a poster cracking 200 is way out there.

You can deny it all you like but it’s obvious D2D was baited into posting a lot, especially early in the week but he isn’t part of the team anymore anyways

I don't agree with any of this post and I have less issue with the mass posting of UT than the other two anyway. A poster cracking 200 isn't way out there but two cracking 300 is. And you've ignored my point about the mass disparity between the higher posters of both clubs, stands to reason if there was topical conversation or equal banter both clubs would have posters with massive equal totals yet they don't. It clearly indicates some people are posting for the sake of posting, I find it strange you can defend that with any conviction. It just makes things hard to wade through and fact is it's never been something highly regarded league wide, that's just how it is.

Killing D2D is the best first move, now teach Coach how to multi quote and you've got one of the most polished lists going around. Undoubtedly the transformation of the team over the course of the last off season has been excellent, that's what you get having a gun like KohPhi running the show.

We're nudging 2800 posts in 6 days. If you take 8 hours sleeping time away for each day that's roughly 30 posts an hour. That's nuts.

D2D was always gonna crack 300 posts when there are almost 200 posts mainly targeted at him from posters who don’t play for either team let alone posts from posters that are actually on the two teams. I’m not understanding how you can’t see that to be honest.
If there are crap loads of posts ina thread then Coach is gonna put up numbers, he’s done it every season and is a top 20 poster according to the beez votes. He post padded today because half the posts in this thread are just people complaining about the number of posts despite the fact there has been a wide range of posters putting up huge numbers this week.

I don't think you can definitively say 'x amount of posts is too many", quality and quantity don't have much correlation, maybe 300 is pushing it, but you could make 100 posts and have them mostly be quality easily.

200 IS too many. 100 IS too many. But it's less about quantity and more about content. What is ADDED by each post? Could some of the posts be combined?

The constant posting for the sake of posting is a blight on the competition. This isn't new, although it does seem to become more extreme as seasons go on. I do have my theories on the solution, mainly formed by Mobbenfuhrer's expansion theory.

But then again maybe it's because I'm an old timer. Maybe it's because I only check in a few times a week now instead of 10 times a day. And so when I check in and there's another 30 pages of posts it becomes too hard to get involved. And so I'm not the target audience of most of the spamming anyway.

I have hit 100 posts in a week once in my career and that was a final vs the bombers, I don’t have a problem with posters putting up 200 posts despite never doing it. Of course if it’s like what the Roys rookies were doing last season then it’s a problem. Each to their own I suppose.

You realise I clear my work schedule when we play you, right? I make sure I have the entire week to read every post , and respond to as many as possible... why?

Because I enjoy the banter with you guys. You dish it, and you can take it. It’s actually a mark of respect. I’m sorry you don’t see that.

If I posted 300 plus, every week, I’d say it was problematic spamming. As it happens, I average about 50 per match thread.

These aren't excuses. There's also a fair amount of fact creation to prove a point... there haven't been 200 posts aimed at D2D and there hasn't been 1400 posts complaining about the number of posts in the thread, that's utterly insane for you to even say that.

I'll also guarantee you this, that neither Coach and UT got beez votes for mass posting. Nobody in the history of the beez trophy has been rated highly for posting heaps. They get their votes for when they present quality, not quantity. You aren't respecting them suggesting otherwise.

Weird blinkers... have a proper think about where this conversation started. Your own poster asking why the thread was so many pages and a graphic being presented showing the top three posters for the thread had 900 posts between them and were all Bombers. Another of your own posters displayed their own disappointment in the thread numbers just a few posts up. It's a lot of ****ing posts. Blaming other people because Coach can't multi-quote and D2D has been a dick is one of the strangest things I've seen on here.

I think a few things need to be taken into consideration;
GF re-match...
A healthy rivalry between Hawks and Bombers..
A couple of 'sideshows' that developed..
Maybe 12-15 non participating posters contributing around 100+ posts...

100 pages is too long I agree, but it seems to be the culmination of a perfect storm scenario. I'm confident this is the exception, not the rule.

Plus I'd much rather read 200 posts by TheCoach16 or Tony Lynn 15 than 50 by many others as the great majority genuinely contain wit, sarcasm and a healthy dose of antagonism.
