Official Match Thread Season 28 Grand Final - Dragons FFC vs Mount Buller Demons at SFA Park

Just popping in to wish the best of luck to both sides on Sunday

Enjoy the week everyone, I'll try to pop in every now and again. For the players (and especially any Grand Final debutants), enjoy this week. Soak up being part of the Grand Final and running out onto SFA Park. And especially enjoy being able to use the changerooms at SFA Park, because the ground is used only once a year the toilets and showers are in pristine condition, unlike at every other stadium (except Underground) where there's huge skid marks down the bowl that someone left after having one too many meat pies with sauce pre-game

Well, what a massive game this is. A Grand Final, the biggest game of the season and a game that doesn't come around too often. We've worked really hard to get here and face the Demons who have been in some top form so far this season at times. We'll need to be at our absolute best in this one and must come out firing early as a unit. Congratulations also to my good mate Pie 4 Life playing his 400th game, a fantastic achievement and one that he can be proud of, time for us to get around him before the game and come out hard at the first bounce!!

I think the Dragons are the sentimental favourite.

We all dream about the love story with a happy ending.

That last sentence just doesn't sound right.

Well having played for the Dragons for several seasons and as much as I.made my way back to the club where I played my rookie season, my heart was always going to be with the Dragons.

I didn't quite escalate the heights from a personal playing perspective that I have at Baghdad but anyone that knows me personally knows that they are the bottom of the list when it comes to team success.
You can be a dual best and fairest winner but it doesn't have the same feel as going to war with 19 mates and holding the cup at the end of it.
So a piece of me will always be with the Dragons where I'm like Benny Gale in the stands cheering on the likes of former teammates Hatchy1992 cammo6556 Knifey Spoony pie4life Ljp86 Peanut and Daniel1812.

I never have written off my old side because I have the utmost respect for them and the players in it.
Even if the Dragons don't lift the silverware, they have done each other, the club and all of us aboard their train proud.
Qooty is a cruel mistress as there wouldn't be a winner in a perfect world between these two teams but sadly there has to be.
I feel this will be an enthralling contest and will come down to the final minutes.
The real winner out of this is qooty so I'm wishing both teams the best of luck but the Dragons just a little more

Anyway, I best pay this writer for piecing this together for me or he will kneecap me.
