It's a disgrace.

Kids should be able to have something unhealthy once a week as our lunchboxes are healthy the rest.

A lunch order is supposed to be a treat, not more of the same.
A reward for putting up with the shit healthy lunches

Didn't spill a drop, now our No. 1 ticket holder.

Funnily enough, there's an invention to make sure you don't spill anything.

My kids go to school with my bosses kids, the eldest of whom has severe food allergies. The monitoring is less about snobbery (I live in farm country so a vegan tends to be someone you chase off your property) and more about kids being dumb enough to swap foods with each other that might make them sick.

That said, school canteens these days are a lot more conscious than my school days. Less pies and pasties and more fruit and veg. The public school in my area even does breakfast days (basically just toast) for those kids who don't get a proper meal before school at home.

Those nut allergies are horrible, i'm just lucky my own allergies aren't life threatening. Imagine how paranoid you have to be with a peanut allergy where you just have to inhale peanut dust or something and you get an attack.

Agreed. Teach them that treating yourself isn't a bad thing.

A lot of schools have a “breakfast club” for kids who haven’t eaten since the night before. Bit hard to teach the poor buggers when they can’t stay awake or concentrate.

Schools have a duty of care to all kids so reduce the number of ways parents can blame them for things going wrong. Anything with nuts in particular is totally banned now.

Unfortunately some kids don’t get a lot of nutrition knowledge from home and it is left to the school to try and encourage better eating by enforcing strict rules about what food is allowed. Having heard about the diets, and seen the consequences, with some of the kids that come to us, I am glad that schools are doing some work in this area.

You have a peanut allergy and still play for the Gumbies?

Very brave

My contract that I signed did mention "may contain traces of nuts" so any issues are on me.

Bags of salted peanuts also have this warning. It might be a trick

I can just imagine the awkward conversation I'd have with anyone at work if they saw me looking at this.
Just tell them you have a secret assignment from the Boss.

Riviat spends a lot of time under his bosses desk, wonder what he's doing?
Really?! I wonder if he needs his pool cleaned?

Or a pizza delivered.

Or a tap fixed?

Or literally any other pr0n scenario where we can do stuff with the lights on?

Probably sleeping, but if his boss was Bill Clinton, well we know what Billy likes.

If he’s anything like me, it’s watching the stay-at-home mums get down and dirty with their sausages at Bunnings every Saturday

Is Riviat the babysitter?

On an unrelated note, how much of a rip off is Hello fresh.
The food is pretty good, but is virtually the same price as eating out at Cafe/Pub prices.
You still have to cook it and clean up afterwards and it is not any more convenient than just normal cooking.
Have not worked out the appeal.
We are ditching after 1 week.
That’s lovely, dear!
