The last time these two sides met was one of the all-time classics. Not only was it a thrilling finish, but the match thread boiled over and we saw several posters suspended. That backdrop promises a platform for another fantastic contest, particularly so given these two sides are equally matched on both wins a percentage, a feat which has not occured this late into a season since Season 18, where we had shorter quarters. But the Wonder have made a whole host of changes that leaves this match difficult to predict. They have finally given up the Rubber Arm wing experiment, and word is they are going to be using more interchanges than we have ever seen before. But Furies captain Toump Ass is an astute theoretical mind, and the Furies are very well drilled. No doubt they have a plan for the chaotic alterations and will come out firing. The Furies have been the strongest first quarter team this year, scoring an average of 43 points in these stanzas, so it will take some work to upset this trend.
Grockadoc has overcome the second year blues to lead the Furies from the front this season. Grock has earnt the respect of the umpires and has not given away a single free kick all year, a tell-tale sign that they will place well in the Mobbs. But the team needs to not be distracted by this sort of thing, and I know leadership ground member Sab22 has been keeping level heads in the locker rooms. Meanwhile for the Western Wonders it has been a tale of consistency. With 10 different players averaging over 14 disposals, the load is being shared and it is a hard outfit to pick at. jezzajay will be hoping to get ascendancy against his old side, particularly so if they can get more than 50% time on ground after losing the faith of the Wonder's coach in preseason.
