top of the table clash this weekend with scotch versus xavier, should be a ripper of a match and will determine who will finish on top and play off agaisnt the 3 lowest firsts sides.

Who won in the Haileybury vs. Xavier game??

Scotch are undefeated with an average winning margin of approx 75 points, just shows the gulf between the top and bottom sides.

xavier have beaten brighton in a praccy game, haileybury by 5 goals, geelong grammer by 160, st kevins by 91, and wesley by 122 points. xavier v scotch should be a really even tough match, between 2nds and firsts.

St Kevs, Carey, Wesley and Brighton. No opposition in that lot and only kicking 9.21 saved Brighton from an absolute pasting.

Those first 3 teams are surely nothing special. The margins in matches against cauf and GC will be closer i think

IF you want to see the 2 best 2nds APS football teams come down to Scotch at 9.00 this Saturday.

This sees Xavier being pitted against Scotch on the hallowed turf of the Scotch Main Oval. Scotch will be keen to avenge the 20+ goal loss the Xavs handed them last season. But this is seconds footy, there is a lot of turnover in each team every year.

Another side-note to this key clash will be a re-establishment of sectarian battles, with the Catholics from Barkers Road against the Protestants from Glenferrie. Can Xavier avenge the defeat Scotch handed out to the other Catholics, St Kevs last weekend?

With the B-Train on fire for Scotch last weekend kicking 5.1 in his return, their forward line looks potent. In fact, across all the lines Scotch look dominant and having coming across no competition this year they are looking forward to be tested brimming with confidence.

Many year 12's will be playing their last Xavs vs. Scotch match so it's bound to be a fiery encounter. 'Chons may break out which is always a good reason to turn up.

With the new rules meaning the top 2's team playing in the 1sts division for the last 3 games, this match adds an added incentive.

Who will win? and hence be the top side in the 2's division.
By, how much?

this game looks like it could turn out to be a massive shootout between two in form forwards, with the B-train kicking 5 in his return and Dan "the Microwave" Sweeny coming off a bag of 10 againts a wesley team tough enuff to wear a dress and flowers in their hair, it looks like views are in for a show. both teams fighting for the best positions on the ladder for when they get a run in the 'big time' adding to the excitment. predictions

xavier by 14 with sweeny kicking 7

mate if i wanted to see the best 2's team in action i wouldnt be heading to Scotch at 9:00 on saturday as the best team in the seconds comp will be in action at todd road at 12:00.

i went to watch xaviour play skevs when we had a bye the other week and although they won by a fair margin they didn't look that impressive. they have one dangerous player, tyson sum1, and im not sure the reason F. Brown never kicks the ball as he always handballs it however he will never rip a team apart with his little handballs. Xaviers full forward didnt seem anything special either.
