The actor was the late David Graf.He was Eugene Tackleberry in the Police Academy movies.

The actor was the late David Graf.He was Eugene Tackleberry in the Police Academy movies.

Didn't know he died!

Not sure of the similarity.

Kramer swapped his faulty radar detector for Newman's helmet and Crazy Joe Davola broke the helmet by kicking him in the head (Hey Yo-Yo Ma! ). Tackleberry's helmet in Police Academy was also broken and the following scene where they swap the epoxy resin for shampoo is a classic! Can't be a coincidence and I couldn't believe they cast him as the cop!
