It's really only the stars that get the privilege treatment. If we were to get Lloyd or Fletcher in the box then it's poor form, but if they have done their apprenticeship and are highly regarded then I have no problem.

Not saying BC is my choice as I have no idea who's best but if we did our homework properly and everything points to him then so be it.

We need someone strong as it will be a tough first couple of seasons at the helm.
 
No love for Sumich? 9 years or so at west coast with worsfold and last 3 or 4 with Lyon

I'd love it, but really couldn't see him coming to a club he hates.
 
How's Lyon feeling? Did he have enough of purple yet?

I honestly would be more than happy having him.

Other than that, I'd say Dew. Need a bit of culture change. I've had enough of Essendon personnel running the club.
 
Clarkson coaching us would be like Sheedy coaching Carlton. It won't happen.
 
The sacking and appointment of a coach is indirect and incidental. Evans gave the job to Hird and the board will give the job to the next coach.

If people really cared, they'd shape the club in the only way they can: electing the board.

It involves actually listening to the candidates and their plans for the club, then voting on those you think can deliver and take us in the right direction. You don't even have to go to a meeting any more, you can vote online.

The most tumultuous period in the club's history and at our last board elections we had some ridiculous, minuscule number of eligible people who even bothered to vote, clearing the way for it to be hijacked by a group of knuckledragging simpletons from that website to force in some candidates based on stupid three word slogans, disturbingly like politics.

Meanwhile smart, successful, experienced people who question the way things are done and want to donate their time to help are simply ignored.

People whinge but then don't bother to do something simple to bring about change.

Obviously only aimed at those with voting rights.

Hey Dew is ours :p In all seriousness, I don't think the bigger problem is the coaching staff or just Hird in particular, the list has a few issues and especially fwd line, can't fully blame Hird!!

No you can't. Just like Carlton couldn't fully blame MM. But the club cannot move on from the saga with Hird as coach. It will always linger

I think the last month has shown that we almost could've fully blamed MM, Not saying we don't have list issues but we are playing heaps of youngsters which MM and now Hird isn't, Laverde and Langford should be straight in, Howlett offers nothing and Melksham and Dempsey have discipline and anger issues which result in frees and 50s... Today was just a really bad day for you guys but things change when you play youth and maybe a new coach... Not trying to be smart!

Seriously which decent up and coming coach would want the job?

Will the CAS hearing even be over before the pre-season starts? Not to mention the possibility of suspended players. No one good walks into that no win situation

Very realistic that we go into caretaker mode again.

Nope, pre-season starts a couple of months before CAS hearing.
