At a minimum 30% of your team who not ORIGINATE from Western Australia, and those only the well-known ones.

You lot are just as bad as South Australia at this.
Your maths isn't great, but you're pretty so I'll indulge you.

Choice.

Victoria disavowed any knowledge of this and his first hand recollections of pre-renovations Raffles Hotel make him as WA as Bob Hawke sculling a yard glass or State Daddy telling Clive Palmer to GAGF.

Chipmunk told me he was Adam Gilchrist.

Nah I'm pretty sure he played for the Western Reds.

Just lol.

He had me at 'West'

Are the Allies all the states too povo to make their own teams so they band together and rattle the can to get some old used football boots and Doris the Lunch Lady to cut oranges at half time?

Must be true! Just like the fine WA manners exhibited in this documentary:

Round 3 Results:

WA
- upset loss to Vic Metro by 32 points

Allies - hard-fought victory over Vic Country by 11 points

Best Players:

WA
- Falconista with 119 DTs & 6 Tackles, Tarkyn_24 with 4 Goals from limited opportunities

Allies - GWS Goose with 90 DTs & 6 Tackles, ShaunDuggan with 10 Hitouts & 3 Goals (before being switched to CHB)

Matchups I would like to see:

TheInjuryFactory vs damicky

Frederico_WA vs MayTheNorthBeWithU

Prediction:

Allies by 1 point

Captains, please have your Teamsheets in by 11.59PM AEST Friday. Match day is Sunday 16th July.

Wait a minute, I dominated the game then was placed at CHB for a rest?

I am on a different level right now.

Just spoke to a board member of the Allies and he was happy to tell me the following:
"damicky has the full support of the board. He is contracted to the end of the series and will serve out the term."

Oh s**t we're playing the damicky team?

kramer im out GIF

(pls don't drop me)

I heard their looking to renew his contract amid offers from other states.
(Okay that just wasn't believable, my b)

I’m proud of our diversity
I “originated“ in India even if I was born in NZ fwiw
But for me at least, home is where the heart is and that is in WA :)

Framing it as a “bad“ thing when our team is more reflective of the Aussie demographic says it all about you guys. No wonder we didn‘t want to join the Allies despite being eligible on paper.

Your Captain is the one that has an issue with Players choosing their Origin

I am proud to represent The Allies despite being born & spending most of my life in Melbourne

You weren’t alone, I wouldn’t stress!
At the risk of sounding like philreich, I came across a quote recently that could easily have been talking about qooty balls /mark or life but sounded deep

Life is like juggling, except you are going to drop balls at some point. You just have to decide whether you want to drop the rubber ones, that will bounce back and always be there, or the glass ones. But you can’t fix what is already broken, so I recommend not breaking the glass ones in the first place

Anyway I back us to bounce back to our R1 form :)

Do they? The ones of the time made no mention of it back when I signed up and these days, I let my qooty do the talking. I got into the SFA properly via SoO not vice versa so it’ll always have a place that’s close to my heart.

In other words you wouldn’t be proud to represent Vic Metro . I really don’t blame you! And I say that as someone who currently lives in Melbourne and just played Vic Metro

On the other hand I’m proud to have spent by far the most of my life in Perth and to be playing for my great state.

Awww thanks

Interesting points, are you suggesting that people playing for the state team they have the most affinity for is ideal? And is that a principle that should be applied broadly?

It is bad when people hold others to standards that they do not abide by themselves.

This is how your captain reacted when our captain opted to represent a different state team than the one he was born in.
A bit of both

I was born in Melbourne … BUT played Qooty for the first time as a Queenslander

This eligibility criteria works well for The Maroons in rugba league

Give yourself an uppercut.

I love getting my morning KP pedantry. :relaxed:

Your captain is in a different situation though. Having not just been born in Melbourne , but also lived most of his life in Melbourne , that’s a totally different scenario compared to me (and I suspect, most of the others you mentioned in your post).

As before it says more about Vic Metro

If I was born here in Melbourne I probably wouldn’t have wanted to play for them either …

VIC Metro didn't want you. An inconvenient truth ?
