I know they're young and still finding their way, but the side doesn't seem settled to me. The best sides seem to have very settled lineups, but with the Young Hawks, many questions remain, well over half way thru the season....
Is Roughie best bet at FB, or are they still grooming ZD to be there?
Or is Robbie Campbell best there, with Taylor 2nd Ruck?
Is Croady best forward or back?
Does Barks have a future?
Is Willo best out of the goalsquare, or up the field?
Is Harry Miller an answer, as small goalsneak forward?
???????

Jared Roughead = the new Justin Leppisch

Or is Robbie Campbell best there, with Taylor 2nd Ruck?

Campbell is a versatile that can offer us a target up forward/ play on the 'gorillas' down back

Is Croady best forward or back?

Croad is a backman playing up forward

Does Barks have a future?

NO

Is Willo best out of the goalsquare, or up the field?

Not sure

Is Harry Miller an answer, as small goalsneak forward?

NO

Unless he makes some real progress in the near future, Harry Miller will be the answer to the following trivia question -

What former Hawk is a cousin of Daniel Wells, Shaun Burgoyne, Graham Johncock, and Peter Burgoyne?

For a player hailed as quick and talented, Harry certainly struggles to touch the football. I cannot see him becoming a significant part of the Hawks' future!

The only changes I see are Crawford and Vandenberg coming back.

I like the look of Murphy, Birchall and Young. Certainly showing something.

Good to see Bally take his rare oppurtunity, was really good with 24 touches.

Ries too impressed and looked good and was pumped up.

How can we have a settled team when 66% of our regular defenders are out injured?

Osborne, Guerra, Jacobs & Smith would all have played last night if fit.

I still believe we should stick with the program.

Continue to blood or give the guys who we need to make decisions on.

Miller - ok didnt do too well at all... but

Murphy - looked good, very good, keep playing him.

Dawson looked good as well, keep him in.

Same with Ball.

Would love to see Bailey get his chance this season.

The only thing I think we need to settle, at this stage is, who goes and who stays.

It's going to be tough for delisting players with so many questions over young players heads.

Dawson was very good yesterday, made several spoils and looked more confident. Just needs to get more of the ball.

Murphy, well he was good again, has a good head and composure for such a young player.

Miller struggled but keep him in and see what he's got to offer.

Ball was fantastic and deserves a run in the side.

I look at Dawson's face and body, and I see just a little boy. I reckon he needs another year out of the side, playing at BH, and some SERIOUS work in the weights room....

Touché, Roddy.

Harry Miller will probably be one of those players who give us nothing, and then play well at another club and everyone will ask why we let him go.

Harry Miller, on the rare occasion that he gets the ball, simply refuses to kick the thing. Always passing off to a player who is not neccessarily in any better position to have a kick.

Too afraid to make a mistake on the big stage.

In case I ever see Zac (not suggesting anything), but are steroids banned by the AFL? :)

Only if they are found in the players system. Get him on them pre-season bulk him up and stop with enough time before the AFL do drug tests. :) There is also the choice of making your own designer steroids, they can only test for the steroids they know. Saw a documentary on it.

Look I don't think we want steroid scandals in this sport, there are enough steroid induced women beaters in the NRL thank you.

Yes, I've heard several of those stories......

Is Roughie best bet at FB, or are they still grooming ZD to be there? At the moment its easier for him in the backline, I think he could be quite dangerous as a power forward in the goal square in the future though. But its hard to say early, I don't believe the coaches even know which way they'll go with him yet.

Or is Robbie Campbell best there, with Taylor 2nd Ruck? Campbell is developing into a decent utility. Only problem is our lack of ruck depth. I think Campbell has shown he can play a variety of roles this year.

Is Croady best forward or back? Back, but he provides a very decent this year. Is playing injured and is struggling but I think he should play forward this year, but next year throw Roughead and Franklin forward and Croad back.

Does Barks have a future? Hopefully stays on in some capacity around the place, great bloke, but really shouldn't be playing.

Is Willo best out of the goalsquare, or up the field? Both in the near future hopefully. He's working on a few things, I think he's getting more versatile slowly.

Is Harry Miller an answer, as small goalsneak forward? I held hope before, but IMO hasn't improved enough in year number 3 to keep him on when we probably will need to delist 4 guys at the end of the year.

I think he should be our CHF and they should start playing him there.

Campbell should be used as a 2nd ruck to Everitt.

Play Croad CHB (don't use Croad / Roughead in the same half)

Barker should be delisted seasons end.

In the goal square, atleast until we get a look at Dowler and Little

I hope we keep him on the list 50/50 hopefully a slow starter. Does have ability.
