Just noticed in the seymour paper that one N Allum played for Royals in there win over the Rook ( B grade ) at the weekend, could be interesting if the Rook inquire about his registration. Those that have been reading the previous few pages on here will know what i mean:rolleyes:

Lachie atkins to make a ton! Hopefully yea will get one on the board.

Any tips for the first ton of the season??

well the best left hand bat is back i would be in that association side easy spent a year in the goldfield and few tons in country week in perth it is only a matter of time b4 i get a call up!
 
plenty of runs at alex this year! alex got 229...hilly made an unbeaten ton (104* i think) and the other opener whitehead got 60 or 70 odd.

in reply yea got to 217, a good effort from the boys, a win is getting closer. runs were shared around...

hilly just bowls little off spinners, changes his pace and flight pretty well (didnt face him though)...

yeah the young spinner got me out, was hitting the ball pretty well and he came on 1st change and i hit a low full toss straight back at him....he stuck out a mit and gobbled it on the 2nd or 3rd attempt:mad:

Your not wrong there lachie, no one has anything to whinge or sook about yet but give it time. ill see if zochy can give who ever we play this week a few short balls to stir things up for ya, did the trick last year :D
 
Any word on how the rep side went?

also next few games are crucial to those who have had a bad start, always hard to get wins on the board after christmas playng catch up!

Other mob got off to a flyer, 0-60 in 8 or 9 before the SDCA dismissed them for 230 I think. Our boys got about 215 in reply, Subba top scoring with 80 odd I believe.

wouldnt say the Yea A grade bowling is bleeding runs:confused:.... Every team will get hit for 200 runs @ alex.. And 150 at Yea is only a par score... let ourselves down in all forms against kilmore... Pretty confident our first win is just around the corner. and as ranga tells us 1 brings 2 apparently;)
think walshy's comment was tongue in cheek...:D
 
Tounge in cheek would be the correct words. Just trying to stir the pot a little and insight some banter.

As for Yea "bleeding" runs, azzlebery fin has already shown that our bowling attack is standing up well, hence, there is depth and that's why there is quality in B's. Just need to put some more runs on the board conistently.

Yea is not far off a win, breaking the drought and opening the flood gates. ;)
 
it was a quality knock. not questionable at all.
there was a young under 16 or 14 kid playing that bowled left arm spinners that will be a great spinner once he is a bit older.

yeh that young fella plays u14s for Yea and looks the goods. has magnificent shape on the ball when in flight, perfect seam and all. showed many up at training tonight, including Yea's own the AZ man...
