What an absolute disgrace of a football club that they are still considering this as an option. He is a convicted women basher and this is someone they want around their club. What do they do during the White Ribbon round? Who is running the show now at the top for christ sake. Why do they still think they can just do what they like? I guarantee if he does play the attention he will draw from opposition players and the crowd(mainly from women) will be overwhelming and the league will then have a whole new can of worms on their hands

Mildura looks to have picked up a couple of juniors from other clubs, ex-Merbein Danny Jones and Irymple's (can't remember his first name) Garlick. Neither Merbein or Irypmle pleased!

There's been a bit of clearance action.
Zac Paeke to another club? South sick of him already?
More interesting young Blaide O'Connor Robinvale to South. Blaide played senior footy last year 15/16 yo. Possibly Sunraysia's best junior running around. (If not best, top 2 or 3) though he would have been heading to Bendigo not Mildura. His father is a RFC legend Yak O'Connor Life member, B&F winner coached junior footy for years, must have been a fairly big fallout!

What are folks thoughts following preseason carnival? Could be pretty even year between the the top few teams with no real definite standout favorite.

Surely Mildura and Red Cliffs have to go into the season favourites... Imps have lost a few, Irymple will struggle to kick reasonable scores consistently without Eagle... Ouyen will be the wildcard for me, heaps of talent coming from NT apparently, South will be thereabouts again, not too sure if Robinvale/Euston, Merbs, Wenty can improve into contention....

Looks like Red Cliffs are calling the AFL, VCFL and SFNL leagues bluff and have lodged a clearance for Nick Stevens. Can't wait to see how this plays out!
Sources tell me the appeal was heard today, and the VCAT verdict stands, the SFNL decision not to allow his registration at Reddy was upheld.

Well gents Rnd 1 this weekend!!! What are predictions for round 1?

I have
Ouyen over South
MIldura over Rvale
Imps over wenty
Merbs over Reddy

Just throwing it out there to get people talking haha enjoy gents and get excited its back!!!

What a terrific result today with a high scoring win to the Merbein Maggies. It's a classic tradesman over the the credit card victory. And great for the league with close wins in other games and more importantly, the dollar club getting rolled in game one. Word on the street is the 2015 premiership cup down at the housos has the credit card blue tacked on the front.

Anyone know why Mee wasn't in the Swallows team. Must have been an injury or unavailable cos he wasn't in the twos and probably tracking as one of the comps best mids or rebounding backs

Hamstring VH, trained last night but won't be picked till next week.

The team points are the Sporting Pulse site.
South are straining their limit with 38 out of a possible 39. The calculator would be out if they wanted to fit Peake or Hodson in.
The lowest numbers are with Irymple on 23 and Robinvale, Imps and Red Cliffs on 26.
Of course these numbers can change each week.
I don't reckon this points system is too restrictive on the clubs. If it is then the club is probably trying too hard.

Why are south at their points limit. who on their list is pushing them up?

Irymple are working on a remedy.

They will have to get a few wins on the board in the first half of the year Schnail if they are gunna mount a challenge in the second half. 2 and 5 or 2 and six is gunna be too far back as the season is looking like you will need at least 12 wins to get to the dance. And that's a challenge as there will be few others in the race for the bottom 2 spots in the final 4.
