Who did you support before GWS?

You know what? I've learned from bitter experience that when you're online, the less you say about yourself, especially your past, the better it is.

Let us just say that I have lived away from a Southern capital for a couple of decades and for much of that time I have invested much of my footy love into playing, coaching and being a Pres of a local amateur footy club, becoming a life member, etc, etc.

When you invest that much time and love into something, being so far away from any AFL club - you soon learn to be more passionate about your own local club than an AFL club.

Therefore - I am absolutely rapt about GWS playing games near to me, and getting my whole family involved - I'm just absolutely rapt about it.

1000 games, an unbelievable milestone. Will anyone match it you think?

This year I've been saying well done young son a lot. This thread let's me say well done old man.

Well done old man!

Are they doing anything special to celebrate? I'll be doing the 4 hour drive with the kids to go.

Extended kick to kick, along with Sheedy and the players out on the field. And cake. :D

Well done old man!

You never say never (about anyone reaching a record), but some records like Tuck's record, and this one, really do look almost unattainable.

And Sheeds can still add some 25 games to it.

Onya Sheeds and congrats to you guys for the performance to honor it ! He's a crazy old codger but no doubt this man knows how to build a footy team . All the best from a lifelong Bombers member
