What sheedy is good at is covering his backside. He did it as a player and a coach (as well as a succesful coaching record). Look at his actions during this period - crossing from Prahran without a clearance - the style of play, effective as it was, was always about himself - never a renown team player (and yes i am old enough to have watched his playing career) and as a coach he has on numerous occassions used the "Richmond want me " line to squeeze for money out of essendon, whilst teasing us.

No Sheedy whilst being a dominant figure in the game is not "one of our most famous sons, in the end probably only behind Captain Blood."

Fifty years from now he will be one of the GREATS alongside Jock McHale, Barassi, and Matthews and UNDOUBTEDLY be one of Richmonds most FAMOUS sons, agreed not for his playing days but just for the simple fact he came from Richmond. This is all i am saying, of course to the Richmond faithful there will always be Titus, Bartlett, Hart and Bourke. FAME is not exclusive to Richmond. Ask anyone off the street where Sheedy came from and they will know-one of our most FAMOUS sons, ask them who Jack Dyer is most wont even know who he is let alone where he came from. Fame and greatness are not the same thing. Greatest Richmond sons IMO would be 1-Dyer, 2-Bartlett, 3- Hart, 4-Titus,5-Bourke, would appreciate your thoughts.

Try to keep up white Tiger. You're the one brigging up an issue with Sheeds that - like him is yesterdays news.

You're very touchy on the subject. No need to get personal but I can take it. I'm not 16 - 21. A long way off. That's probably more of an indication of how little you know.

Is Wallace modelling himself on Sheeds is he? Well I'm sure that's news to him.

You rant like a alcoholic - perhaps I've hit the nail on the head. Why else would you drag up a post from a months ago - that was made after Sheeds attacked Wallace and Richmond.

Face the fact. Sheedy is not a Richmond person. He had 2 chances to come back to coach us, and pulled out both times. The second time he had agreed and decided last minute to resign with the bombers. We ended up with Frawley because we ran out of time and options because Sheedy turned on us.

Sheedy had every opportunity to come back and do for us what he did at Windy Hill, and what Wallace is very possibly creating now. He passed, and thats that.

Take pleasure in that we are rebuilding the club without him. And you can count on the fact that he takes much more pride for the premierships he won as Essendon coach, than he does as a Richmond player. Its taken a lot of us many years to accept it, but Sheedy is a bombers man. He has sided with coaching them over us just that one time too many, and I for one rejoice in the suffering he and his club are going through.

rofl. i was the one who dragged up this thread simply because i didnt see the point in creating a new one seeing as there are already two in existence. spin doctoring is one thing, but when you say a club is ruining the competition through its actions that is pretty strong words. now he is doing what he said was ruining the competition and that by definition is HYPOCRICY. alot of what sheeds says is just fluff in the wind, but this was more. it was an attack on our club.

You're the one on the turps, first you say "you're right" then you say keep up, your the one who needs to keep up, i didnt drag up this post, darth did. I am no fan of Sheedy, and agree he is an Essendon man through and through, read my first post, all i was saying is he is a Master Manipulator, a cheat, liar, hypocrite, he will do whatever he can do to make Essendon greater. Thats his JOB.
 
Sheedy is a good coach - he has the record to prove it.
But his average of a premiership every 4 years has moved out to 6 years.
He should have been on the verge of his next premiership by now if the cycle had repeated itself - didn't happen unfortunately :D and I don't think he likes it.

As long as he stays away from poaching our players. **** him if he has a go at Rainsey. On Rainsey, I had a word to a close friend of his last night and I don't believe the club has even approached his management yet :mad: Then someone else says, why disrupt him while he's playing good footy and start putting $ figures in his eyes. Hopefully, this can be resolved soon before Sheeds gets his claws into him.
