Is that for real MRobbo? I would have thought 500 would have been notched up many a time when it was more of a road than it is now.

This could be embarassing for Tassie if the ball really is doing a bit.

Not by Victoria. The highest score at Bellerive I believe is around 590 to 600.

I thought this might happen the Vic’s got to many good bats to think you might just roll them cheap. The bulls are not exactly struggling either which hurts us.

Century to Matthew Wade!!!!!

A big effort to return to your home state just after your 21st birthday and make your maiden century.

Only going on memory, but i think that's the first century from a Victorian wicketkeeper since Peter Roach made an unbeaten 100 about 7 years ago.

If he doesn't get the respect and support he deserves from my fellow Victorian supporters now, he never will.

Well done Matty, you ****ing star.

Well done to Wade on a great ton- not sure why he had to do it against his old state though.

Paine also did well with 6 dismissals including a stumping

Maybe we should fast track Brady Jones a bit more seeing the recent success of Tassie keepers.

535 loomiming lark a dark cloud and the top 3 are Wells, Dawson and Doolan. Which one of these 3 are going to make 150?

All 3 hopefully. The pitch can't be doing too much given that all bar one of Victoria's batsman made it into double figures and 7 got past 39 regardless of how bad the Tassie's bowlers sent them down. Hopefully we can go to tea with 10 wickets in the shed.

Tasmania are 0-30 from 18 overs.

Or, perhaps Victoria just played really well. :)

One only needs to read the commentary and media reports to realise there is some juice in the pitch.
The deck is green, every quick bowler is seaming it around whilst there have been an unusually high amount of bats being beaten/edges throughout both innings.

There is definitely something in the pitch, but no one (from either team) has been able to take advantage, or have a great deal of luck.

Exhale is correct.

This is a green top. But by reports its not as damp a greent op as it has been for the first 4 games. 535 is still a top score regardless and while it is not as juicy as the wickets previosly prepared itr still got it in for the bowlers who bowl well. Luke Butterworth I understand did not fit that equation.

Interesting start for the debutant

  • 2009-02-27 16:40Over 28.1: Gilmour to Doolan, no run, OUT, short of a length outside off, Doolan spars at it, gets an edge straight to White at first slip. A wicket with his first legal delivery!
  • 2009-02-27 16:38Over 28.1: Gilmour to Doolan, wide, very wide outside off
  • 2009-02-27 16:38Over 28.1: Gilmour to Doolan, no ball
