Songs like these needs to build to something like Stairway To Heaven does; starts off slow but builds up, electric guitar, drums, bridge, guitar solo, massive ending. Riders On The Storm is just gloomy and leads to nothing. Wouldn't rank it in the top five off the album.

Similarly I love the song but when it gets to about 5 min I'm just hitting skip.

I find the second half kind of cool. Becomes almost hypnotic.

Always thought thought keys in the song were perfectly mixed and sounded like rain, which suited the song to a tee.

Not as colossal as something like Light My Fire though
