Sit Down, Shut Up (Steven Currey sitcom)

Currently running at 1.15am wednesday nights.

If i am not mistaken this had a brief run a few years ago and only lasted 13 episodes. However, if youve seen the show you'd probably know its ******** funny. Starring Steven Curry and set in a high school.

Why are golden shows like this being given such little chance while we are force-fed american crap all night long?

This show was at best mediocre. Late night reruns are pretty much where it belongs.

It's a shame the show never panned out, because Steven Curry is a funny, funny man.

Wasn't Mark Mitchell in it as a teacher ?
That would explain its failure.

I sat through a recording of this when it was made back a few years ago (as you can tell, I lead a riverting social life).

The most notable name was Marg Downey as a deputy principal. Also remembered for its opening theme, which was Advance Australia Fair played on recorder.

My initial reaction when I saw it was it was the kind of show the producers of Hey Dad! would make.

Pretty ordinary show I think.

Depends on your tastes i guess.

Every cliche in the book is followed to a tee, I guess it falls into the "so lame its funny" category.

it's the type of show that appeals to you for the first couple of episodes, but from then on it's starts to become repetitively boring, probably best in a early morning slot as all it has to deal with is infomercial viewing and therefore i will then watch it of course, poor humour you find funny when over-tired and ready to laugh at anything remotely funny

How funny was the episode were the teachers toilets were broken and they had to use the student ones?
