Injury update: Sloane has a broken thumb, out for a month. Porps will see a specialist about his shoulder early in the week.

Bummer  Thankfully he should only miss three games as we've got the bye next weekend.

Rory out for a month!!!

What a bugger, Rory's broken his thumb and will be out for up to month.... :(

Crows midfielder Rory Sloane will be out for up to a month after breaking a thumb against Hawthorn on Saturday night.
And Jason Porplyzia will see a specialist early this week to decide the next step in his recovery from a dislocated shoulder.
Sloane, one of Adelaide’s best players in the 20-point win, played out the game but had X-rays on his hand today. He will see a specialist this week.

On the bright side, he should only miss 2 games with the bye, rather than 3.

Broken thumb is pretty unlucky though...

Bad yes...Sloaney is up there with my fave players, but we have cover, Symes, Martin, Jaensch, Tippett...injuries on both sides as you would expect with such a hard fought game. Bye comes at a good time.

Mackay should play thanks to the bye, so that mean we will have to replace Porps and Sloane!!

Tippett has to come back in, and McKernan has nailed his spot IMO, so that means we have to find cover for Sloane out of Martin and Jaensch.

One of those will be the IN IMO, although none of them is a like for like substitute for the in and under Sloane.

EDIT: Forgot about Symes. On reflection he's probably the best bet as an on-baller.

Damn I had him in my dt.
I'm glad he's only going to miss a few games.
Martin will be a good replacement but we'll miss Rory's attack on the ball.

Patrenks? anyone? - more in and under than the alternatives mentioned so far.

Now would be a good time to promote Matt Wright if Porpoise is out for 3 months and we would still have room to promote Callinan(when fit).
