Agreed. Nigh on impossible to stop so why risk it in the first place and ruin your health?
 
When I was younger so much younger then today
I hated coming home reaking of smoke and looked forward to having a shower ASAP (ie as soon as I was finished with the lovely lady that came back with me)
It is great now here in Perth they are banning smoking in and outside of pubs etc! Pity I can't get out much anymore. See at the Moon Friday Cranium!
Anyone in Perth feel free to join us

You know that kind of pushed me to quit, I was so aware of the smell. At work I would carry perfume and chewy's and some older rello's that I just didn't want them to know I had to de-smellify (as my sister and I called it).

I won't lie though, I miss it! If they brought out a healthy inhaling stick I'd sign up :eek::D
 
Nicorette does one but you look like a tool! It is a cigarette shaped tube with a nicotine powder in it.
Champix is a great tablet you get from the Dr/pharmacy to help quit. Leaves Zyban for dead!

I still wouldn't see the point of it! Why would i waste the time doing it and occupy a hand doing a pointless exercise, let alone doing it when whats in it is a poison.
 
See I don't want to look like a tool...! Although when I'm stressed or drink coffee or drink alcohol I really feel like one...I'll just have to buy chupa chups for coolness' sake :p

That's why I quit, but I miss the motion of it more. It becomes such a habit to get up between tv shows and have one or when you're waiting around somewhere to spark one up. I can handle the nicotine cravings but especially at an BBQ with a drink in hand it's tempting. When you've done the same thing for years it's very difficult to get out of a habit.
 
It is the only time I reccomend them, for the people that need the physical sensation of something in their fingers. Otherwise patches, gums, lozenges and Champix are way better and only contain nicotine and not all the cancer forming baddies in cigartettes

This thread is getting serious - I was just stirring up 1 particular smoker but looks like we have opened a can of worms!
 
Another beautiful day in paradise Cranium - I have 13 hours of pain so make sure you do not waste it mate. Get out into the valley. Wine, Beer, Nougart etc. Spring in the valley!!! Does not get any better!
 
I quit smoking in Janurary this year.:thumbsu::)

I smoked for 15 years having started when i was just 16 :mad::(

When my kids began asking me why i smoked and said its bad and kills you (plus those ads), i decided enough was enough. I tried patches and chewies at the start, then just a week into quitting i forgot to put a patch on. Well it was the hardest 12 hour shift i've ever done,but i got through it and just went cold turkey from there.:thumbsu:

Benefits are great....

Coughing- Gone
Smell- Gone
Teeth- White :D
Health- Great

Negative- I tend to nag other smokers now and preach to them.:eek:
 
If you want the sensation of smoking without as much harm, back in my day these worked a treat for me.
