It is not a big deal but why have the Hawks strayed from Clarkson tradition of giving new players high nos. In the case of Cheney, Bruce and Hale they are existing AFL players so this doesn't apply but....

Playing in number 44 didn't seem to worry Johnny Platten. He would still have been a champion if he was wearing number 99.
