Go the Roy Boys.
I think Brisbane were humble in defeat and Fagan deserves to flag.
They also embarrassed Carlton, which has plenty of merit.

Can’t warm to the arrogance of Horse and their COLA and academy cheating ways.

Zero sympathy for Grundy who extorted the club with his contract, didn’t perform, and choose the money rather than renegotiate when asked. Feck him.

I wasn't planning to miss half a night's sleep over the game and just watch the recording in the morning. But I have to give a ton of credit to Fagan and his players for putting it together at just the right time and they're riding their streak all the way to the end which I hope they finish it in grand style. But, to do it, they'll be short their ruckman so that will be another obstacle to overcome.

I've been thinking hard about the folks here who are still hurting over the 2002 and 2003 Grand Final losses and, in particular, the former where a couple of very questionable calls could have turned that result the other way. I will admit I felt the same way going into the Grand Final last year. But with the triumphant victory and, in particular, the commentary about Nathan Buckley letting go of emotions he claimed he couldn't believe were still buried deep inside him, the win healed much of that pain and angst from those teams Buckley led into battle.

Further, how could anyone really want to push Fagan's nose further into the mud when he and his club have diligently contended over the last six seasons and have come so close, but never getting to the summit. That he managed to get his team back into the Grand Final for another crack at it is admirable as it is worthy of respect for he and his club. Besides, our boys ran out victors against them not once but twice this season. When was the last time that has happened? As far as hating on Brisbane, have we forgotten so quickly where our head coach and some of his assistants came from? Further, they happened to be present on the ground during both of those Brisbane victories over Buckley's Brigade.

In all, Collingwood and Brisbane have historical as well as current events ties to each other, as well as in the media (e.g. Brown and Buckley together "On the Couch"), for better or worse, and maybe it's a red-headed stepchild relationship, but you can't deny it's there. So, on that somewhat obtuse basis, I'll pull for the Lions, and Chris Fagan, to finally get over the hump and win a deserved Premiership that's eluded them for several years now.

Peace!

Please stop being balanced and reasonable.

I prefer the emotive, irrational and vindictive approach - which is an agonising Lions loss.😋

I'm with you.

My combined hate for Papley and Warner surpasses any angst I feel for '02 & '03.

F* those pr*cks. Go Lions.

Swans will smash Brions

And in case something really weird happens and I'm wrong don't quote my post cause Anzacday will give you an infraction :tearsofjoy:

Swans will win by 50 points. There is no way Geelong are as good as Sydney. Brisbane would have to produce a miracle to win it from outside the top 4.
Historically you are correct.
Brisbane need Daniher and Cameron to have a day out.
Go Lions.

Leaning towards Brisbane because it’ll be a wholesome story.

5 ACLs to start the year, no one gave them a chance after their disastrous start. They've got a humble coach and several humble players.

Also, I love a lot of their players. Ashcroft continues to impress me. After the heartbreak of doing his ACL last year and coming back the way he has. He's primed for a Norm Smith.

When I think about the best players in the league, Neale is certainly up there. I've loved him since he played for Freo and he continues to torch teams in a very humble manner.

Their fans are very tolerable and aren't insufferable like Sydney’s are. I will never forgive their fans for the treatment of Ginnivan when he got subbed out with a hammy.

Franklin and Horse using the racial card when Buddy copped boos for basically being a sh!t C U in the NT. The carry-on from their president, who constantly lets Collingwood live rent-free in his head.

Also, the way they’ve treated Nick in a couple of games hasn't set well with me and I’ve despised them ever since.

I’ll cringe so hard if I see Papley get presented with a premiership medal.
