The most consecutive wins in which Vallence played in the VFL was 9 during 1932, in which he kicked 45 goals. He also played in a stretch of 9 games without defeat in 1935 which included a draw. He netted 39 goals over this time.

Harry used to go to the pub after games and he would regularly big himself up after a big game in Melbourne. One of his favourite go to's was "I kicked a goal on such a tight angle today, I thought the ball was gonna jam between the posts."
