And now Credin & Abbott are attempting to overthrow the moderates due to this stuff up. Stay tuned.

I'm not sure there are any left sadly.
Scary situation now in Israel with the public starting to turn on Netanyahu. Military now at odds with him as he clings to office against the best interests of the country. The problems look insoluble given his extreme rightwing allies, Ben Gvr and Smotrich. Self inflicted shambles.

the public has turned against netanyahu in the past, most recently with those protests against his supreme court "reforms" a year or so ago that would've given more power to government over the judiciary

the gaza war has been (another) timely distraction, and provided netanyahu an opportunity to consolidate his power with israel's hard right
it's no wonder there has been much suspicion over the "failure" of israel's much-vaunted security apparatus to detect or prevent the october 7 atrocities
now it's a different kind of internal pressure on netanyahu, as well as the external pressure from traditional western allies

and i want to stress that none of this is "anti-semitic", it's simply fair and reasonable criticism of a corrupt, brutal and dangerous politician

Personally don’t think there’s been nearly enough scrutiny of this.

The IDF has been widely regarded for years as one of the most devastatingly efficient and technologically sophisticated armed forces in history. Gaza is the most surveilled society in the world. Huge questions have not been answered about how Oct 7th could ever have happened in the first place.

i think there was scrutiny in those first few days after ... but once the israel defence forces launched their response, the world's attention has shifted ...
