Soloman gooooonne!

The real difference is that, with Solomans momentur, body being the elbow, the real pointiness of an elbow, Solomans act had much more potential for serious damage than Halls hit.

It was every bit as intentional and Ling could not have expected to be hit in the head. He should be in SERIOUS trouble.

That's the words right there! He had no other intention than to take Ling out. Ling had handpassed off well before Soloman got to him. He had plenty of time to change his body to minimise impact but instead he raised his elbow for Ling's head! No excuse for that crap these days!

10 weeks, cheap shot if you ever I ever saw one, certainly had the potential to cause more damage than Hall's hit on Staker.

Remember when Soloman got offered big bucks to leave essendon and go to richmond - and he turned it down! only to have essendon thank him by sending him to play as a knuckleman for the crappiest team in the crappiest place in the country. Karma - now he will retire as a sniping dog

How is that karma??? he knocked back the big money to stay loyal to the club that gave him the chance........

Mate, look, it was a bad act by Solomon.

But fair dinkum, what about Milburn back in 2001?

Leopards never change their spots.
You've got to be joking? No joke. Milburn's hit on SOS was a very low act, but the bloke's played almost 300 games and hasn't been suspended since and you're telling us that leopards never change their spots? get a clue mate.

Soloman's hit was a disgrace, but sadly for him he won't have the opportunity to redeem himself and regain the respect he has lost like Milburn has, Soloman is GONE and probably has 1 year left at best, but he, farmer, carr and the other bundle of deadwood should be let go to for the best of your rabble.

He isn't allowed to call Solomon a 'gutless dog' because Darren Milburn got suspended for a bump 8 years ago? Your logic on this is as bad as it was on the other thread.

As for the last comment, Darren Milburn has been suspended once in 228 games.
I think he's got a fair case for 'one stupid mistake' given it's the only suspension he's had in 12 years.
One cannot say the same for Solomon, who has quite the track record.

His only ever suspension in over 200 games. The low moment of his career.

That hit was nowhere near as bad as Solomans though.

Come on mate.

That hit of SOS was sickening, the sight of him on the ground after that hit is hideous. The sight of his neck getting smashed back in mid-air is sickening.

The fact that Milburn then clapped himself off made him look like a right ########.

Got no respect for him or any Geelong fans who dare critize another team for being 'dogs'. Sure Solomon was a disgrace today, but Geelong fans are either stupid or have a short memory.

That hit was the most sickening thing i hvae seen on a football field, the fact that Milburn showed no remorse makes it even worse and shed's light on the character of Milburn.

he knocked back the big money to stay loyal to the club that quote]

the club who turned around and ''offed' him anyway. couldn't happen to a more deserving bloke - always an ugly footballer.

How is that karma you moron??? He got offered shit loads of money and decided to stay loyal to his club.
DO you understand the concept of karma??

You'd know with your coach

But i don't go around calling other teams dogs do I.

I know that Matthews was as capable as anyone else to produce 'dog acts' during his playing career and he regularly did.

But i don't start calling other teams dogs and gutless do I, especially when my own team has players of questionable character (Milburn)

Are you a fan of Leigh Matthews?

If so, going by your logic you have absolutely no right to criticise Milburn given Leigh Matthews performed some of the worst dog acts in the history of football.

Done and done.

This bringing up of old incidents in some pathetic attempt to discredit posters is one of the more stupid things on BigFooty.

So Geelong fans can't say anything about Solomon because 8 years ago Milburn KOed SOS.

And Brisbane fans can't comment because Leigh Matthews hit Neville Bruns.

And St Kilda fans can't comment because of Jim O'Dea.

And West Coast fans can't comment because Kerr once hit someone in the nuts.

And Sydney fans can't comment because Barry Hall hit someone.

Lame

Any geelong supporters defending Milburn's hit are clearly delusional IMO, but you're quite happy to completely disregard the fact that the bloke has had a completely clean record since that day? The bloke got caught up in the game and made a mistake, a big one no doubt but don't get carried away saying "leopards never change their spots" when clearly Milburn has done nothing of the sort since the SOS incident. If you weren't made aware of the Milburn incident and had been watching him for the last 6 years, you wouldn't believe he is capable of such a thing?

Dean Soloman has been a thug for years, completely different players.

But i don't go around calling other teams dogs do I.

Um, you've just spend the last few posts laying the boots into Darren Milburn.

Given your logic that we can't criticise dog acts because Darren Milburn once performed one, you shouldn't be able to criticise Milburn given your coach delivered plenty of dog acts in his time.

But i don't start calling other teams dogs and gutless do I, especially when my own team has players of questionable character (Milburn)

You're very quick to judge someone and stick the boots in over a dog act, yet you're happy to support your coach, who is well known for his long history of such things (unlike Milburn).

You've exposed yourself as not only a hypocrite of the highest order, but one who cannot follow even his own logic.

Dog act (but not surprising). Nor was Mark Johnson's 'cheap shot' knee. Why Freo, a team with discipline problems, would go and get Mark Harvey, Mark Johnson and Dean Solomon is mind-boggling (apart from the fact that Harvey was a huge risk and Johnson and Solomon were already gone).

The Mark Johnson one could be an interesting case for the MRP.Last week they rubbed out Hall for attempting to strike.Today Mark Johnson tried kicking [he might've connected slightly] Steve Johnson.Surely he has to be in trouble if Hall was.

Solomon put his hand up as soon after he hit Ling.He knew he'd done a crude act and he'll have a month or more on the sidelines to think about it.It might be blessing for him as he won't have to play for that rabble of a club Fremantle.

This thread is funny because of how ridiculous you people are, you all must be on the MRP and that's why Freo get rogered most of the time.

To call this the same act as a 'king hit' by Hall (away from play) that knocked a bloke out is laughable! I for one enjoyed the bump, good to see it back again, Ling would have expected some contact cause he was running straight at him.

Anyway us Freo fans don't mind him spending a few weeks on the sidelines, it's a chance to let a few other guys have a go. Don't worry he will be back, along with other Freo players making people cry again! :thumbsu:

You are ####ing scum. I hope you get what you deserve.

Did you enjoy seeing Tony Lockett run through Peter Caven and leave him convulsing?
