Radiohead - Let Down

Thom Yorkes singing is beautiful in this song and with the harmonies it is one of the most magical songs ever.

That would be in my top 5 songs of all time. A brilliant song from one of the best albums ever.

Emotional Songs...

For me it would have to be:

Never Tear Us Apart - INXS... was played at Michael Hutchence's funeral and everytime I hear it, I'm reminded of that.

Hero - Mariah Carey... Only cos it was played as EJ did his lap of honour around the G before the Vic v SA match in 1995.

Gotta agree with someone else (can't be bothered searching again now to find which poster) who said the last post... send shivers down my spine everytime I hear it.

Then you have the usual suspects such as:

One - U2
With Or Without You - U2
Where the streets have no name - U2
All I want is You - U2
Adam's Song - Blink 182
Throw Your Arms Around Me - Hunters
Pearl Jam - Last Kiss
Live - Overcome (reminds me of 9/11)
Tears of Heaven - Eric Clapton
Stealing Chairs - 28 Days
By My Side - INXS

Will add more when I think of them!

songs

some of the following are spine shivering material for me :

Radiohead : half of the OK Computer album
U2 : All i want is you
Ben Folds Five : Brick
GNR : November Rain Guitar solo

Last Goodbye - Jeff Buckley (coz my loved one doesnt have the decency to give me a last goodbye!!!)

Until I Die of a Broken Heart - Zwan (it speaks for itself)

Uh oh, careful, you'll start the 'lyrics that relate' thread all over again... ;)

I would have thought Last Goodbye would have been more emotional to someone who had had a goodbye with their loved one though, because they'd relate.

"Sleepwalk" by Santo and Johnny, it's a real sad tune, pretty good though, it almost makes you cry during the movie "La Bamba" when they play it just after they say Ritchie was dead at the High School.

disarm - smashing pumpkins

not that the actual song makes me cry, just the memories of times and places i was when i've heard it :(

OMG it so does, especially after his mum yells 'NOT MY RITCHIE, NEVER RITCHIE'

just thinking bout it now is nearly starting the tears

That song is from their latest album, and it's called "Stop Crying Your Heart Out." Indeed, it is a great song.
