Twice during today's coverage Silvagni made mention of Brad Ottens during the call.

Needs a gentle nudge from Huddo or Christo.. Perhaps they're leaving him out to dry:cool:

Is he mentally challenged? Seriously.

Is this Channell 10 being 'new age' and employing people with handicaps?

yeah heard that and the deafening silence around the box after. No wonder Eddie over-ruled Mick and got Carey instead.

First time I thought I was hearing thing, but the second was no mistake.

The sad thing is he must be confusing Ottens with Simmonds or Stafford, and yet they don't look like him.

Unless Ottens is sitting near the Ch10 commentary box while waiting for the later game.

If this happened last year, you could understand the mistake

No. No you couldn't.

A semi-******ed Iguana would have known Ottens went to Geelong, much less a mentally profficient one, and much, much less a FOOTBALL commentator.

He gets paid to do that job, and yet I am tossing up whether he has outstayed his right to breath and exist amongst all of us.

FFS.

I agree with you totally, but with so many new players, traded players and players changing numbers, you can excuse the odd slip up.

But yes, the Ottens one is a little too obvious. And he has done it 3 times too!

Even though I am sure he is a nice guy...he is defintely the worst commentator going around- even worse than Walls and that saying something

No one is worse that Walls.

did anyone hear wayne carey twice last night talking about whether chris grant would be able to move from full-foward to centre-half back, in his first game back from a serious knee injury last year???

not only that slip up from carey doggies but also that the dogs are still getting used to grant being in the side after being out with injury for most of the year pretty sure he only missed 6 games would hardly call that most of the year.

The commentators are bound to get it wrong from time with new players for all the teams but you would think with the money that they are earning it wouldnt happen as often.

Fox footy is the worst epsecially if your own team is playing interstate some of their commentators have no idea.

I like Wilson, he is a scream. I remember last year he was doing a game and an Eagles player got his head ripped off and almost KOed and Wilson was complaining, said there was nothing in it.

You had to know how he played footy, he was an animal on-field. Loved watching him play and is hilarious as a commentator.

Wayne has been busy enough without having to worry about research for the season ahead.

The worst thing is he's had 4 years to improve but is still not capable of stringing a sentence together. Hopefully is contract ends this year and Channel 10 destroy those photos he has of some executive which has allowed him to kep his job for this long.

SOS has a good reason. I blame the AFL and their double-header.

Ottens was at the ground, along with other Geelong and Carlton players wandering around the place. Some of the Cats even had kick-to-kick on the ground at 3/4 time while Hawthorn and Richmond were in their huddles.

These double-headers are simply insane.

No wonder SOS was disorientated.

SOS. The only person at the Dome who couldn't work out why the Blues fans were booing Milburn.
That is probably because he didn't see who hit him because his eyes were on the ball. Damn shame the police were there to escort Milburn off the ground that day. The Carlton supporters were more than happy to even up on SOS' behalf.
