We are thrilled to announce the signing of three new Pups to the South Fremantle Football Club.

Cooper Clarke-Dehring, Connor Carbone and Koen Sanchez will join us in red and white for the 2025 Season.

Clarke-Dehring is an exciting forward from Donnybrook Football Club the South West Football League (SWFL). At only 19 years of age, he kicked a total of 59 goals for Donnybrook this season. Cooper’s instinct to compete and read the footy saw him named in the 2024 SWFL Country Championships Representative Team. Cooper was then named in the State Country Side Representative Team, and played against South Australia.

Connor Carbone is making a return to the WAFL system in 2025, after playing two years in the SWFL for Harvey Brunswick Leschenault (HBL). The 20 year old spends his time showcasing his clean ball skills and high level running capacity as a half back and a midfielder. In 2022 Carbone was a State U18 Representative Player, and a Peel Thunder Colts Premiership Player. This year, Connor had a standout season playing for HBL, which lead to him being named in the 2024 SWFL Country Championships Representative Team.

19 year old Koen Sanchez comes to us from East Fremantle. Koen is an exceptionally talented forward, with a high level football IQ. Sanchez was also named in the 2023 U18 All Australian team. Koen has a natural ability to read the play, resulting in plenty of touches in the forward-line.

We are excited to see what these boys bring to the South Fremantle Football Club.

The South Fremantle Football Club (SFFC) has finalised its Senior Men’s coaching panel for season 2025 with the return of some Club legends and a promotion for an ex-AFL star.

The Club is delighted to announce Cory Dell’Olio, the former South Fremantle forward who kicked 225 goals across his 109 games in the red and white. He will lead the forwards having also played 16 games for Essendon in the AFL.

Andrew Foster who played 142 games for Claremont and East Fremantle as well as a stint for the Dockers will partner with Ryan Cook as they take charge of the midfield. Cook, who won the 2011 WJ Hughes Medal, played 158 games in the red and white after three years at Collingwood.

Chris Mayne will remain at the kennel but has been promoted to the senior assistant role overseeing strategy and skills. Mayne was a huge addition to the Club in 2024 with his energy, skill development and mentoring and will take a further step in his coaching endeavours as he takes charge of the backs.

‘I’m really excited to continue my coaching at South Fremantle, working closely with this coaching group and our talented list is a huge honour, and I can’t wait to get started’ Chris Mayne said

‘South Fremantle isn’t just about football, it’s a family. The Club’s family focus is felt every day, and it’s a big part of why I wanted to remain here’

‘I’m excited to get started and share my journey and knowledge and assist in the development of our players and help them achieve their goals, not only as individuals but also as a Club’

Brad Maney will continue to take charge of the reserves group but has been elevated to the Head of Development role where he will work closely with Matt Rogers (Colts Coach) and Dan Marie (Talent Manager) to identify and develop the next group of senior footballers from our talent pathway.

Jack Latchford has joined the Club as a senior assistant of the reserves whilst Chris O’Connor will continue in his opposition analysis role but also take on an assistant role with the reserves.

Mark Pashby who has a wealth of experience and various roles will take charge of the bench for the reserves and Jarrod Parry returns to the Club and will look after the bench for the league.

Dean Reynolds comes onboard as Chairman of Selectors and will have a game day role in the box.

The South Fremantle Football Club would like to acknowledge the contribution of our outgoing coaches.

Nick Suban informed the Club that he would like to pursue other coaching opportunities. Suban has taken charge of the midfield the last two-seasons and is a 2020 Premiership player.

Brendon Logan (League Assistant), Geoff Barry (Reserves Assistant), Mike Hays (Reserves Assistant), Brad Karafil (Reserves Assistant) and Anthony Taranto (Reserves Bench Coach) have all had a big impact on the Club, players and the senior men’s program and we would like to wish them all the best for their future endeavours.
