Interleague finally! Need this if the league wants to grow and be a strong comp. who will coach them? A present coach or someone from outside who isn't coaching a team? Hopefully everyone gets behind it and they can get a good result.
Seems Heywood might drop off a little bit and teams like cavendish and tyrendarra might strengthen up a little bit. Coleraine still strong, westerns thereabouts, Heathmere will improve, haven't heard much from branxholme.
Huge boost for Cavendish with their recruits named a few weeks ago, Lachie Crawford, Michael Ubergang and one other..
Apparently Branxholme has signed a coach who played at G'thompson last season..?

Whispers Dartmoor struggling and may not field any teams.... Can anyone confirm??
Cavendish massive recruiting drive over summer. Will be hard to beat by the looks.
Fantastic to see interleague back
I heard Jayden Polaski is going to coach them this year... but yeah personally I think they would be struggling, doubt Mick Oldfield is sticking around again...

Yesterday's observer has Westerns recruiting Marcus Amor and Reece Cracknell who will will be fairly handy pick ups for them

Dylan Barr signed with tyrendarra. Played interleague last year when he was at lexton. Good pick up. Used to play under 18s at Portland I think? Heywood lost a couple more players too I hear. Bit of movement always good to see and makes it interesting. Is England staying at westerns?!cavendish have had heaps at training by all reports, pretty confident they can go all the way this year with the good young players they had and the really handy pickups they have got, Huf, Crawford, Ballinger would be as good as any player in the Comp. coleraine might lose a couple of good young players to Hamilton with mat Dunn coaching.

Good to see some movement from the saints who would hope to improve this season under a new coach. Looks to have already bought in some talent.
Cavendish continue their offseason work with the Sherlock Brothers who will add great experience along with other recruits and cover the loss of League BnF winner Curtis.
Dartmoor looking like they will lose Oldfield, no doubt new coach Polaski will be drawing some recruiting there way.
Already well documented that most of Heywood's midfield from their GF winning team has moved on, they are focusing on some juniors but will have enough depth to still be very competitive.
Not too much offical movement from the Darra's but they will have some action soon enough with the hopes to go one better this year.
Westerns losing Keem will be big although they look to have a few back up plans with Amor and Clark being quite handy, and we seen what Cracknell can do to add some firepower down forward for the Roo's

Fair bit happening with clearances

Dylan Barr will be very handy for the darras up forward or in the midfield they have also gained for team of the year player Shay Rhodes, Shay will play half back he is a great player to slide in to that side very classy.

From all reports dartmoor will be improves after missing the finals last season with premiership players Jase McRae, Justin Lynch , Vinnie Ryan and Chris Lenahan all coming back to the club as well as Zac Howlett and a few young kids from Hamilton according to an article in the local paper , looks to have lost Mick Oldfield which is a huge loss but will look to play finals this season.

Westerns will look to improve on last seasons effort keeping the majority of its list together. Michael Keem will be a huge loss for the club an irreplaceable player but the Roos have tried to recruiting ruckman Marcus amor and Brad Clarke from Portland and Big youngster Jack Pridmore from west Portland others to join the club are Will Oakley from central , Reece Cracknell comes back to the club after a stint with south rovers and will be a key to the clubs goal kicking power.

Good ins there for Darty!

Good hit out between Heywood and Heathmere last night at Heathmere.
Both teams looking fairly different from this time last season with great numbers for both sides (25+), not sure how many players are signed up at the meres this season but if it is as many as were there last night they should have a decent season.
A few players that stood out: Hey- Billy Bell, Aaron Barr, Ben Millard, Kane Millard and Jack Mutch. Heath- Hayden Telfer, Mitch Riddell, E. Taylor (?) and Tom Weightman.
Any other practice matches taking place?

Tyrendarra played Penshurst last night, was played at a decent clip and not bad to watch. Would say Penhurst won comfortably

Branxholme/Wallacedale what's the gossip on how they are looking for this season?
Branx
In: Tim Cogger, 3 Lambevski boys, Out: Peter Downs
Cogger will be very handy, coming from a few years at higher level. Not sure on the other guys who came over from Port Fairy last season...

Heywood had a good hit out with East Warrnambool on the weekend and looked in control for the majority of the match, despite having a good chunk of the senior squad missing vs 25-30 guys from East. Billy Bell was good once again with Tyson Lovett-Murray, Josh Ferguson, Noah Mcdowell, John Bell and Micko Bell.
Also heard that Allansford were well ontop of Tyrendarra on Saturday, although the Darra's had alot of senior players out as well. Any other reports from the weekend?

Cavendish
Tyrendarra
Heywood
Westerns
Coleraine
Branxholme
Dartmoor
Heathmere

Meres, darty and branxholme will all improve a bit but not enough to move into finals contention. Good for the Comp tho to tighten up. Cavendish look to have recruited really well with Ballinger, Huf, Crawford, watt, Sherlock boys all really good players. Must be pushing the points tho?
Darras look strong again and added a couple of good players Barr, Rhodes and couple others and we will be there abouts a again.
Heywood have lost a few but were a fair way ahead of the Comp last year so will still be strong and will push for the flag again.
Westerns got a couple of players from Portland and will be overall similar to last season after also losing a couple.
Coleraine look similar. Haven't heard much movement from there.

Any other in and outs I'm missing?
Still hear a couple of rumours regarding tyrendarra players but dunno if true. One past player mayb back and one player that has had ties to Portland and Hamilton past few years also? Both be as good as anyone in the Comp.

Heard a couple of older guys at coleraine have givin it away too? And mayb a couple of younger ones gone to Hamilton?

Few Dartmoor players back will help them out and be far more competitive.

Looking forward to a close season! Shaping up to be an exciting one. Interleague should be good too hopefully players can commit and put up a good show. Whereabouts is it played?
