Heard a tale that New Norfolk had premiership shirts already printed as well?

One tale from the SA amateur comp in the 1980s has an undefeated club losing its only game for the season in the Grand Final and a supporter from the winning club found a discarded unopened box beside the losing club's coaches box ... with 100 premiership t-shirts inside.

The winning team creatively used a red texta to change the premier club on the shirts to their name and they were apparently seen all over Adelaide during that spring.

Ok, champions...plenty of gaps in SFL scores during the roster season. 11 of them, with Claremont and Dodges being the main offenders in not checking their work. Wondering if you could help me here. I've already scoped PHQ and FB. In each of these 11 games, the goalkicking lists and the finals scores don't match.

Also, I don't have the quarter scores of R15-23-SHA Saturday, July 22 CYG 11.13 (79) DFER 8.13 (61)...

Never heard that NN did, but Lindisfarne certainly did in 2008.

Definitely Lindisfarne did. Got rolled by Jock McGregor's Huonville Lions outfit by 37 points on the big day.
Never heard about New Norfolk doing it though.

Yes that’s right, I did mean Lindisfarne - sorry NN boys.

Gosh can’t believe it’s been 15 years!

I'll be watching on from sunny QLD thanks for the links!!
I'll tip Huonville to take out the ones, Cygnet to take the twos and Huonville to win the thirds.
What kind of weather are they looking at for the big day? Been wet and horrible the last few years on grand final day. looks to have been pretty warm over there this week so hopefully like that again with a good crowd.

Pissed with rain all night, cleared up a bit during the Colts but returned during the Reserves and heavy rain during the Seniors.
Huonville beat Lindisfarne in the Colts, Dodges Ferry easy winners over Cygnet in the Reserves, halfway through the second quarter of the Seniors it's Huonville by 25 points although the Lions got out to a 43 point lead before the Port kicked the last three.
Huonville been way too good so far.
Crowd, hard to tell, probably 2500-3000, most are in the stands though.

Where’s old mate’s comment that confidently proclaimed Triabunna, St Virgil’s and Huonville would all win the flag undefeated with a leg in the air?!

Meatloaf is looking for you, Pal!

Incredible effort from the Port to not only pinch it but romp away with it after being 7 goals down in terrible weather and looking gone for all money.
Big Thor's worth every penny they paid him, leaving the club after this year apparently?
Probably up there with Kermandie knocking off Port years ago when they were heading for four straight premierships and led by 6 goals early in the last and ended up getting rolled.

I know it can't be helped but how many more grand finals at North Hobart are going to be held in driving rain? Every year it seems to be like this.
Might be time the SFL moved the date of the match forward a week or two to hopefully avoid it. Gotta be killing crowd numbers.

So how many times has that happened in SFL where a team's done a Sandy Bay?

Saw a post on facebook about a rumour that an SFL club was looking a possibly jumping ship to the Old Scholars next year like what Channel did years ago?
Who was the candidate in question?
Keep an eye on New Norfolk too, heard that they are very close to falling over.
