Re: CLub colour issues

Your source is far from reliable. The issue of jumpers was solved in a matter of minutes from all accounts.

And your comment about this rot going away is laughable. The Regional clubs have been far more professional in making arrangements for next year than anyone involved in the Statewide comp.

Well all I can say is that my source needs to check his source and doesn't it go to show how rumors can be just that.

If you are right that is all very good news.

Re: CLub colour issues

I am right.

The SFL will thrive in the next few seasons. That you can take to the bank.

Glad to see they all FINALLY learned their lessons from what happened a few years ago when they tried this jumper/colours/emblem banning fiasco. :)
No one wins under that scenario. :(
It still makes me seethe with anger though at how they allowed Kingborough to carry on the way they did about it and let them get away with it for so long.
Even this year they were still carrying on.
Anyone would think they were as big as Collingwood!

Must admit, I've always held the belief that the former TFL clubs should never have been in the SFL playing against former TAFL Southern Division and Huon FA clubs after 2001.
SFL should first and foremost be for country and amateur clubs only and the TANFL should've been revived under the then Football Tasmania's guidance for the other five clubs, plus one other.
Would've also served a purpose to underpin the new Devils program.
FT and later AFL Tasmania didn't want a bar of the clubs. Simple as that.
And this is in part why we have such a hodge-podge, poorly planned shambles of a football system here at present.

BTW OzGuy: Quick question - what colours did Tunnack wear in the ODFA?

I can answer that for the Oz...........

None other than your beloved black and gold colours. A la Richmond or dare I say it former Hobart colours. ;)

Apart from their 14 round final season of 2001 when they switched to West Coast Eagles jumpers, which incidentally were sold to Sorell in almost new condition.

Skype Interviews with Duff TV

Ok you blokes who wants to put their face where their mouth is and come on live with Duff TV and be part of interviews and chats via Skype or phone.

Some may remember Dan and Duff doing a "skype test" about a year ago. Well I want to go a step further and involve anyone who wants to open up and have their say. That test can be seen here http://dufftv.com.au/?p=41

Skype allows video/audio or just audio conversations over the internet and all you need to do is download the free software and install. It takes a few mins. You will then need a head set (mic and headphones) and even better a webcam so I can record your video. If no webcam then that's fine as I can snsert a picture of you (just like the news)

Then anyone when they like can call Dufftv and we talk about local footy.

Once its up and running and i have worked out all the technical stuff wouldn't it be fun to do some interviews and chain them together and upload for all to see.

Those who find Skype all too hard can phone me on 6278 1442 I would pop them on speaker phone and interview that way.

So Ok who is up for it? Who is prepared to say what they really want and maybe next week can be a goer?

Any takers?

Below is the Sykpe download link;

Ladder Predictions

Ok I have tipped Hobart and Devonport to bottom out the SWL ladder with Glenorchy and Lauceston the front runners.

Any clues on how the SFL will go?

Tipping New Norfolk, Kingborough and Brighton to make the 8 with Huonville and the 'Farne up there again.

Its early days but hey Barge this is more your territory. Who could finish where?

My New Norfolk source reckons Kingston and Brighton may not do as well as some may think, however I reckon with Henley at the helm Kingston will not be too bad.

N Barwick back to New Norfolk will improve them and obviously hurt Brighton.

Huonville and Lindisfarne along with the 3 Premier league clubs to be up there? Again going out on a limb Duff!

I reckon after the finish to last year Lindisfarne won't be in an overly hosptiable mood!

As for the rest of the clubs, I really wouldn't have a clue until closer to the season and a bit more is known, but for me New Norfolk will be very hard to toss!

If he runs out for Dodges, Barge will run out for Campania and Cadoras for Mt Pleasant.

:D You're on the ball there old boy! As if anyone would want to play at that god forsaken windy place covered with complimentary dried up sheep poo. If you kicked a sherrin out of the goal square after an opposition point, there would be a good chance it would come flying back over your head!

Duff TV commentating on Barge playing for Campania.......

"The ball comes flying out of the centreline........its a mongrel punt........
does a couple of bounces and lands on the muddy goal square"

"Jeez there must be seconds left in the game........"

"The mercurial Barge runs in like a gazelle, scoops up the ball one handed, fakes a left and leaves his defender hapless on all fours, spins onto his right and YESSSS.......snaps a miraculous 45 degree goal between the legs of two opposition defenders to put Campania in front as the siren goes"

Yeah i think your on the money there barge.... There is one thing certain about next year in the regional league... New Norfolk will dominate... Also agree that Brighton wont go as well as what people expect.. Barwick Salter Wilson and Graham are big losses for them plus the walkout of the Central Hawks recruits will hurt them Badly.. Marc Cowen rumoured to have taken the assistant coach position... But im tipping he will learn early on that taking that on was a bad decision. New Norfolk Lindisfarne Huonville and Kingborough top four...

You would hope he has a crack with Glenorchy or someone like Hobart could use him. Good player.

His old man is a great Electrician and fixes my light bulbs in exchange for free DVD's of Gerard playing.
