What's weekly clearances schedule? I'd just PM you a list of players who weren't selected in the team of 20 and you can put them wherever you want. Or are you establishing SOFU it's own set of rules and making it super official?

Well the easiest way to avoid would just be for captains to list out the players in the squad who aren't selected under the team sheet submission, labelled Reserves.

I would do that, so far I don't think there's any movement for any other club's involvement in this so I don't think we need a league wide mandate.

Yeah I did consider this but I'm trying to keep workload low as possible. I can defoes accept people onto a list, then just rule them out if I see they were named for their big league team on that weekend. Not too hard, I guess.

Just want it to be a little silly extra fun, not a massive deal.

Note that players are not necessarily forum members, although in most cases they are still using a handle of some kind. Not tagging anyone as the whole point is to have an alternative where you're not being bothered unless you wake up one day and wanna take an interest.

Yes. Four are ex-Sweet FA actually (more than I expected) and 1 is just a mate from my Agar.io days.

Affiliate will mean what exactly? There's no way I'll fill all the teams up haha. You can choose Lirmi as your affiliate and if the Supp players on the Rats list wanna sign up there, then sure.

Just be aware Lirmi is the one where Pickitt was building the mega-arena based on VFL Park.

That leads them to not post, and if they don't post they don't get selected leading to an entire season of inactivity.

I'd like to see if that could drive up participation by 1-2 participants per week over the course of a season.

I agree with you. When some say people are put into the supplementary list because they aren't active, I respond that it's only for half of them, the other half are inactive because they have been made supplementary.

And yeah you've kind of landed on my main hope, that there's a kind of a low-impact alternative which means nobody has to post or anything, but they can if they want, and if it re-inspires them, they might be able to graduate to the more hectic Sweet FA.

Granica, are the only team located outside the Hindealla national border, just past the checkpoint in neighbouring Ibarawa nation. Granica's team will be nicknamed the Bishops (a reference to the Sea Bishop).

MoscowHawk might note that I do put some effort into these place names and nicknames ;-) I'd made it for any randoms who would like to play from your folks over there

I'm hesitant to accept as serious any applications from Sweet FA players who a have a strong playing role at their teams in the Sweet FA. Unless you are planning to become inactive enough that your Sweet FA teams would release you to play games at the SO FU, there is a danger you would never be eligible to play, and thus purely clog a list. boncer34 's application is already the subject of animated discussion inside my head.

TheInjuryFactory Headless and Wosh I will need some kind of strong evidence that you are each unlikely to be very active at your respective Sweet FA teams (Warriors, Demons, Roys) in S34. Otherwise we won't be able to go ahead with registration for you with a SOFU team. This league is intended to "pick up the spares" from among those who are not effectively active - a place for inactives or low-actives to relax, or to build an interest in re-activating. I need a goddamned mission statement. The mission of the SOFU is to write tangled statements!

boncer34 has been a little revived recently but I do straight-up believe his assertion that he feels more comfortable just popping in rarely here and there. I'll be making these calls meritoriously. Actually I'll check with my committee. Yep, they agree.
