So many milestones For the Roys!

SpecialBruce = 100 Sweet FA Games

specialbruce.png
SpecialBruce has a history spanning many clubs, though the majority were spent with the Roys.
First spotted in Season 01 with the shortlived Dingoes project, Brucey had a mild impact in his debut season and celebrated a 25% win rate with his team.
Next, with the abolition of Dingo-related clubs, he was off to the Razors, where he managed 8 goals and picked up 7 league B&F votes. His success rate increased in a 50:50 win/loss ratio.
In Season 3, SpecialBruce moved to the Hurricanes, where the win rate increased again to 75%. A quiet achiever on the field, SB took a back seat but edged closer to his first 50 games.
Season 4 saw SpecialBruce join the Roys team in time for their inaugural premiership. His win/loss grew higher than 75% but I can't be bothered doing the maths. It was pretty good.
For two more seasons, SB continued with the Roys before retiring after Season 06.
The league was bereft of the special influence of Bruce for 30 seasons, before he returned to the fray in the middle of Season 36. Since then he has gained a power position on the ball or in the centre and came within a bee's proverbial of picking up a Broken Medal last season.
This week Brucey's game tally reaches 100. Join us in celebrating this great achievement for a Sweet FA founding player!

JackNah_8 - 200 Roys games.

JackNah_8 plays her 200th game for the Roys FFC this week, on top of another 72 matches spent earlier with the Furies. Switching from position to position, Jackie has been known in the past as a Full Back, but more recently has been a KPP up forward, holding down Centre Half-Forward.
Last season JN8 scored 21 goals for the Roys, one of the stronger performers in front of the sticks.
Jacknah_8 is also known for unbridled violence, frees against outstripping those for, by a considerable margin.
Jacknah was also a premiership player in Season 33, which is of course very good.
This Sunday JN8 celebrates yet another milestone in a wonderful career. Congratulations JackNah_8 !

Reardo - 301 Roys / Sweet FA Games.

81882.jpg
Reardo burst onto the scene in Season 11, winning the EKA Medal and soon after assuming a leadership position with the Roys.
A member of the Season 25 premiership side, Reardo has been synonymous with the Gorilla spirit for many seasons.
Retiring after Season 28, his career de-escalated quickly and there was no sign for 8 seasons. But now he's (kindah) back and in his second season having returned to the fray, Reardo this weekend runs out for his 301st Roys game! Why not acknowledge his career a week ago, some might ask. Nobody forgot, we just didn't care.
Actually, as stated earlier, I'm just bad at maths.

Roylion - 450 Sweet FA Games.

Like SpecialBruce, Roylion commenced his career with the Dingoes in the league's inaugural season. A startling 15 to 42 free kick discrepancy underlined his clear relationship issues with the umpiring fraternity. Or maybe he was just a dirty player.
In Season 2, Roylion moved to the 7th Wonders, where the reigning premiership team was overhauled in the Grand Final by the Hurricanes.
Roylion continued his style of play which attracted the umpies attention, this time with an 8:21 free kick ratio. This guy definitely got on the nerves of the referees!
In Season 3, Roylion became a founding member of the Roys FFC, and by the end of this season his free kick count totalled 41 for, and 113 against, across all 3 seasons. Impressive by any measure!
A premiership player in Season 4, but somehow missing the other two Roys premiership seasons, Roylion has good reason to be so mean on the field!
With over 300 goals to his name, the old master still seems to have more to give.
Congratulations to Roylion , 450 games coming up this Sunday!

Roys FFC - 150 wins!

Royz_n_da_Hood.jpg
After this weekend's win versus the shit Dragons, the Roys will have played in their 150th Sweet FA win! (fact check please, anybody, 'cause I'm not sure on the numbers)
According to my best count, this will consist of 146 wins at the Brunswick Junction Oval, and 4 at Renown Park.
Congratulations Dragons for your selflessness in helping bring about this important milestone!

So the Roys have a win / loss rate well below 50%?

Good work Roys and the milestone players.

Surely this warrants an extra serve of mushed up pudding.

The Roys win/loss is from memory the worst in the league of the current teams. Not "well below 50%", but below. We're pretty bad.

But fortunately for us, we're extremely cute.

Congrats on all milestones except the 150th win! That will be the week after this ;)
We'll see about that. We tend to turn in very special performances in milestone games. And by special, you can make your own definition.

Sweet potato and pumpkin please. I like the orange.

Would anyone back me up if I brought some pressure to bear on SpecialBruce to GET A BLOODY AVATAR?
Hey SpecialBruce GET A BLOODY AVATAR!

Reached something like 250 Sweet FA games early last season. Cos 70 odd with the Furies before crossing to the Roys.
I look forward to when JackNah_8 gets 2 more points and we celebrate her 100. 🤗
