If it's any help - anyone that uses kodi and has a t*lstra live pass - There is a Kodi Add-on called AFL Video; it links to the afl live app coverage via your t*lstra acct. Quality is reasonable, and you can stream it to TV.

Feels weird having the game day thread open on a Friday!

First Friday night in a while, very tough competition but they're missing some important players and we should be full of confidence after last week.

Let's get a reasonable crowd there and make some noise!

Bruce 6 goals and Steele 30 tackles. Calling it now.

Go Saints!

Feels weird but also feels great, looking forward to heading into the Mail Exchange for a few beers prior to the game! Etihad tradition.

Have a ticket to see the Darkness tonight, bought months ago and didn't check the fixture. My loss.

Interestingly, the Darkness were last in Melbourne in November 2015. So it's actually been longer since I've seen St Kilda play on a Friday night than it has been to see the Darkness live....

Thuper excited about Friday night footy! I think we're a genuine chance too. I think if we bring our pressure game tonight and match them in the middle then we can exploit them with our rebounding from our back half.

If the Giants have one weakness it's that they don't have a lot of speed up forward with the 3 big forwards and Stevie J. I think Patton is the best suited for Brown Carlisle will probably have to go to Lobb due to his size which leaves Cameron. Gilbert played poorly on him last year from memory and Webster is giving away a lot of height but one of them will likely have to take him.

Gilbert seems the logical match-up on Cameron although I don't know how I feel about it....but we sort of have too, think he will get a chop out from Webster/Roberton floating across for sure. I'd rather have Gilbert go to him as I want Geary, Webster, Roberton moving the ball out of the backline as usual, we can get them there I feel.

Will be an interesting match up.

Still reckon Brown as the number one key back will go to Cameron.

Webster is sneaky tall - do you roll the dice with him and his toughness and closeness on Cameron? Maybe Gilbert, despite previous outings, makes more sense because then when Lobb goes into the ruck Gilbert follows him and Carlisle goes to Cameron. Or perhaps Gilbert just goes to Lobb.

Difficult to blanket all three, and would think GWS would look to isolate Gilbert and Cameron deep if that match-up eventuates. At least we now have options defensively if someone is getting on top of us

It's a great opportunity to put Saints footy on display in front of a big TV audience. If we bring high effort and commitment to the tackle and the contested ball, and don't give away too many free kicks, we will be in this until the last. Looking forward to Steele and Bruce giving Giants recruiters the reverse V for victory sign. Gilbert to go up a notch and announce himself to the footy world as second ruck with a lion heart, making a game high 16 tackles around the ball. Sinclair (aka Billings to the commentators) and Billings to run rampant and feed Bruce, Memberey and Riewoldt all night. Nathan Wright to iron out the wrinkles in Jeremy Cameron's guernsey early in the first! Gresham to dance around Shaw, and Acres to run straight through! Go Saints!
