OK rossies won but the way they carried on afta the siren waz just sad anyone would think they had won a grand final!. St Peters had their 5 main players out all in the state team i mite add, u put them back into the side St Peters would of kicked lil rossies behind!!!!. Rossies can say they beat St Peters but they beat St Peters weak side as far as im concern St Peters are a far better side then Rostrevor and rossies were just lucky they caught St Peters on the wkend where their good players were out.

yeh they were missing 5 players... millar, shultz and the other three were? rostrevor were missing a couple of their good players too, saint peters can not seem to pull it together this year despite having a good team. u guys keep writing off rossie's but they must be doing something right, give them a break...

Well said Colin Custard, rostrevor are a much better side than many may think. They have only lost 2 very difficult games (PAC & St Micks), they have also had a shocking run with injury. Despite missing two of their captains, Leeman and Sheedy, as well as talented back-flanker Holm and centre half forward Crosley, they have still been able to play good football. Also rostrevor have not been using these injuries and other injuries earlier in the season as excuses, saints are a quality side full of stars, however they are a team that play for themselves and not for each other. You cant win games on reputation alone. Lil Rico, you need to stop blaming your circumstances (Millar & Shultz out). Perhaps spend less time trying to find ways to talk saints up on this forum and try and find out where saints as a team are going wrong.

I saw the saints v rossie game on Saturday and it was obvious that Rostrevor were more determined and much tougher. They outclassed a saints team who entered the game with an over confident mentality and thats why they lost. I'm getting sick of hearing about Saints players when they crumble when pressure is on (probably why they also lost to St Michaels). It's time people knew about Rossie players. Best players for Rostrevor on the weekend were (remember these names): Jordan Lyons, Adrian Bond, Nick Murphy, Ben Moyle, John O'Connor, Luke Sheridan. I'd also like to ask what any people (probably Saints boys) who made comments eg: ("Little boys of Rostrevor", "Rostrevor are no good without Oconnor" and "Write Rostrevor off") have to say now?

This match doesnt matter cause SHC have beaten Saints and will kill Rossies and will win the state knockout.

Im sick and tired of hearing that saints boy would have won... you didnt, take it on the chin and push on. rossi presented a strong, hard team on the weekend and showed they are a side not to be taken lightly. the saints boys went into the game with their usual arrogance, and it didnt pay off... they cant blame it on the absence of their players, rossi also had brilliant starting players out such as, tys leeman(VC), dale sheedy(VC), ben crosley and holm, who would have presented a huge impact on the game.

the game is over, and rossi deserved to win. with the comment how they acted after the siren, yes they did act as if they had won the grand final. however, i think its fair to say the saints boys had a cry as if they had lost the grandfinal... suck it in fellas and admit you didnt win and dont make excuses.

rossi presents a strong team, and the comment that the 'little boys of rostrevor' does not add up. rossi is just as big as the other teams, eg. no 17: tiny. you can't judge a good team by size

well done on saturday rostrevor, it was a win well deserved.
CHOOMALAKA!

Lil_rico you're the only saints boy making excuses. you're **** weak, and i bet the players wouldnt be making any excuses, cause they know how hard rostrevor had to fight yesterday to win. saints played a good game. you're the same bloke saying one or two players wouldnt make a difference. rossi , bloody awesome fellas. 10 B's, 10 A's, Second XVIII, First XVIII, choomalaka indeed!!!!!

rednblack mate you have overstepped the line there. Yes rossi played tougher team footy and deserved the win and no credit taken away from them. You are also right that the Sts boys arent making any excuses. The fact of the matter is saints played **** on the weekend. End of story. Rossi played the game on their terms and thats not the way sts goes about their footy.

BTW Colin the other two guys were...Harry and Masoni. I think Rico got confused with Lopez who was a late call up

Saints had 5 players out due to either injury or state and were not in it from the word go. Seemed like with out th tuff nights in the side, Saints went to water. But i think that if you places those 5 players back into the side Siants would have won easily in the end.

Now Rossies the way the reacterd after they one was not very good. Shouting and screaming, it almost look like they had one the Knock Out Grand Final which they wont be playing for any way.

While Rossies have players that shouldnt be playing 1st 18 they will win a game here and there. Taking nothing away from Anthony Vannine but he shuldnt be playing.

There hasnt been a single positive post about rostrevor all year. they have been written off by everyone. Injuries or not, everyteam has their ups and downs. A good team has the depth to win without a few. maybe those players would have made an impact, but they didnt play and thats footy. rostrevor havent made excuses for any game they have lost this year. give rossi a break. and leave their payers alone mate, anthony vannini works his guts off every game he plays for rostrevor, and deserves his place. he has pride in his jumper and plays for the team, which i think the saints boys were lacking on saturday.

Ok, first and foremost.... "straylan" why would you tell "rednblack" that he overstepped the line then agree with everthing he had to say? ... however i do finally show some respect for a saints boy agreeing that they did not play well.

Now, "Red n White Rooters Man", Anthony Vannini shouldnt be playing? why would you say that. do you know the man? he is as big as a house and as strong as an ox. he plays hard solid footy week in, week out and deserves his position on the rostrevor team. anyteam would kill for his size and guts, take a few saints players out like number 18 and 2, and replace them with Vaninni and you would be wetting yourself. hes a top bloke, good footy player and helped rossi to their deserved win

End of Thread fellas. TITLE: "Saints vs Rossie"... outcome= Rossi all the way, Game over.

Y did i say that? mmm. Mayb cause he can only kick the ball 60 m and thats all. I remeber him playing for Hectorvile in the Under 17 comp this year and dropping about 10 simple chest marks and getting beaten by a small bloke in the air. He is a good bloke and a nice and clean player but thats as far as i would go. He cant run and he duznt use his body. A small bloke would run straigh past him

and as for the thread to be ended well sorry mate its not. So far Rossies are well down compared to last year. Last Years team would have smashed Saints.

Does any one know why Jake Harry didn't play on the weekend? How long is he out for? Very good player, strong hands in the air. On another matter, I hear from my sources that St Peters have number systems in the middle? 1...2...no wait.....3.....5...67....3454..What the hell is that all about? It's not baseball. Did Luke Copley get a kick on the weekend? I'm sure I would have seen it if he did, it would have gone 60 metres. P.S. Still find it hard to hear Red White Roosters Man make comments when he doesn't even play 1st XVIII. Is he a 17's or 19's player at north or what?

good call the unknown soldier!! being an outside observer i was interested to actually see how luke copley went. and to be honest i didn't see anything of him. rostrevor just seemed to have that hunger to win, something that saints will have to find again (if they ever had it when the tough games confront them) if they are to get bak on track for the rest of the year!

i dunno did any of you see the intercol last year when saints stepped up in the last 2 mins?? Now that was a comeback and a half. Stop slamning sts boys for not stepping up, and start blaming the coach ;)

henry white wasnt bog for saints.

A rumoured quote from Nick Lopez on Saturday's game:

"Oooohh ahhhhh ooh my god my leg is broken, i'm dying, get someone else on! Ooooooohhhhhhhhhhh!" - Lopez

"Nick's just got cramp" - Straylan's Dad (team doctor)

Lopez........SOFT! I hear he sledges all the hell he wants in cricket but can't seem to cope when it gets physical.

Exemplified St Peters lack of courage on the weekend, on and off the field.

i think some of the rossie guys better tone it down a bit, although you have my congratulations, u gave us a lesson in hard work and desire for the footy
however, although we are not a team that relies on individuals, all teams will struggle when their whole structure and back bone are thrown out of order

with our centre half forward, centre half back, rover and resting ruck rover out, these are extremely big holes to fill, which unfortunately rossie were good enough to exploit

seemingly unfairly (to only us i assume), we have been riddled with injury with last saturday being no exception - cranmer out for one, elliot out for 4-6 - however, starting next term in the business end of the season (state knockout, intercole, rematches Vs. rossie, shc, st micks) we will have a full team with no excuses for poor performance and no doubt one of the strongest teams in the state (hence 2 point loss to SHC with 3 starting players out including VC),

what i am getting at is that some of these posters have to remember a little thing called karma, as come next term we will hopefully do the talking on the football field

Valid point tom, i agree some of the things said have been abit over the top. I think what the rossi boys are really wanting to say is that they deserve the respect they havent been getting. Although the win was over an undermanned saints (rostrevor also down a number of key players as stated in previous threads) rostrevor does deserve alot more respect than theyve been shown.

There is absolutely no doubt that saints are a very quality side this year, but all sides are riddled with injuries, but what sets the good from the great is the ability to be successful no matter what. Saints proved they can get close to SHC with starting players out, they just need to back these perfomences up.

Hopefully come the next game, saints and rostrevor will have full teams and there will be no excuses. A muchily anticpated game in my eyes, regardless of how much better saints think they may be than rostrevor.

yeh i agree, i think a few of the rossie boys may have been a bit over the top in jubilation after the game. i think we realise the impact that the missing players may have had on the game.

can anyone tell me who saints have this week? i pity the team they're playing tho, im sure saints will be very fired up!!! and what are the predictions for the intercol with pac. its a weird season when pac (predicted to be the top team) get flogged by shc, but saints only just go down to the hearts in a game that could have gone each way.

Well jack i dare say you obviously dont know George Whiting cos he was out there on saturday number 17
