What a terrible, terrible footballer. Edit - Sorry this line was a bit rough was just frustrated after the game, no excuse for his performance though.

After all the support he received in the past few weeks he serves up a performance like that **** sake.

Watch the Stanton fan boys come now, I don't give a shit what you think.

Yeah I probably will, because we aren't allowed to say anything negative about Stanton's performance around here.

Although I'm not a "Stanton hater" and think he's generally pretty good, he was absolutely disgraceful tonight. And it's not as if his mistakes were forced errors in general play, they were clangers at really really crucial times. Unbelievably frustrating to see him fumble and stumble through the game knowing he's much better than that.

He had a bad game, he's not above criticism like anyone else on our list.
You would have to have massive blinkers on to see he had a shocker.

you should know better than to post on here with Stanton displeasure.. most of our mods are Stanton lovers.. BTG the biggest obviously.. but you might get the support of HFF..

Agree with the thoughts ofcourse.. He is soft and a turn over king.. doesn't work hard in defence and has absolutely no clue about hard contested ball.

Unfortunately Stanton is going to cop it by the supporters, Dont agree with it, so be gentle.

It's about time some people started to realise...
Cost us a few goals against Collingwood, even one against the Suns and a lovely kick to Newman tonight at a crucial point in the last quarter.
Needs to be dropped. Needs a reality check. Give Prismall a go.
I cringe every time Stanton has the ball.

He had a fair dinkum shocker. Certainly his worst game this season.
Given that more often than not, he's in our best six or close to it, we really suffer when he goes missing - that's how crucial he is for us. He'll bounce back.

Guy must be doing it hard mentally at the moment. Knowing that plenty of eyes are on him waiting for him to stuff up. He needs a big game to get his confidence back.

This.:thumbsu:

The bloke was shite again. I don't give a flying fat **** if he can run around all day like no one else. So can a Down Syndrome kid. Stanton needs to piss off to the two's and not come back until he can become accountable and not shit himself everytime the pressure is on. Weak as piss.

Maybe people should stop getting on his back about everything and let him play football. Blame the baggers for poor form.

Noticed you left out how by himself he pretty much brough us back against the blues.

Piss of with this thread.

After playing the first 6 games quite well with few faults, his return game was dissapointing to say the least. But he definitely isn't the type of player we can afford to drop, he was evidently missed against Brisbane, albeit having a disappointing one tonight.

Having been alluded to a rift between Ryder and another player, I suspect confidence and other issues have led to their disappointing performances.

ryder v stanton?
at the moment, that would be handbags at 20 paces.
both need a very large cup of cement to help harden the f up, and get on with fulfilling the potential they both have.

No-one should be above or beyond criticism. I have defended him lately but the turn-overs when he is under ZERO pressure are too costly to ignore, especially for a player of his experience. The only fair thing to do for him and the team is to give him a run in the 2's and get some confidence back and the rest will improve.

Sorry, but this isn't true.

I'm not trying to be biased against Stanton, it's just that he makes these mistakes every week and it cancels out some of the good work he does in games.

has been hopeless, everytime he touches it i shit myself. why hasnt he been dropped yet, hird rates him too highly, drop him already, his hopeless
