Just heard that Oakleigh District guns Skinner and Reddie will line up for the Vampires next year.They have been talking to a few clubs and it seems East have picked them up.How do the blokes from Div.2. rate these 2 blokes and will they be match winners in Div.1.??

Reddie is handy but wont make a difference at the Vampires.

has anyone heard the rumours that a couple of east brightons players threw a t.v out of their hotel window whilst on footy trip?? as a result of their actions the league is tryign to de-register them for playing in the sfl. meant to be a couple of their better players too
 
Thats a bit harsh trying to deregister them from the competition for an off field and out of season incident. Surely that's the responsibility of the club to take the appropriate action against the players.

Last i heard Benny Skinner was very keen to Springy, not sure Reddie

Who cares this stuff has been going on for years its nothing new the SFL should worry more about running a good comp and stop letting players behavior in another state worry them.
 
Just goes to show what a joke of a board the SFL actually has! They should worry about more appropriate matters like the survival of their league first and building and U/18 competition. Even if these players are deregistered from the league the SFL can't do anything from stopping them going to play in another surburban league.

Some of the pathetic places you stay on trips need a bit of refurbishment.Having said that i was on the EB trip to Adelaide and we behaved perfectly for all 4 days,one room of blokes were ejected from the hotel for nothing.There room was trashed and the hotel security cameras weren't working so it was just crap.The police weren't involved and know one was even locked up.
Church on the Sunday was fun followed by the movies and some Ten Pin Bowling.Would have to say we did the SFL proud.
 
Ive been down at the oaks a few years now, reddie and skinner easily the most consistent and best players over that time - very sad to see them go.

Reddie will kick a lot of goals in div 1. Great mark, great skills. Skinner is a ball winning onballer - dominates the clearances in div 2 should do very well at the better level.

Who's your source that there down at east brighton?? Word is that they havent decided where they're going yet.

Reddie would be handy in division, especially with some decent delivery for once in his career.

Skinner is terrible, looked as though he is a ball winner when they win the ruck as they have no on ballers, would struggle to get a game in the firsts in division 1.

What the hell does that mean - if we had no onballers then he must have done alrite to make finals and beat dingley during the year. FYI we very rarely won the ruck, didnt have a decent ruckman all year.

I'll put it in simple terms for you, because you are after all from oakleigh and would therefore be an uneducated derro.

Skinner is not a good footballer. Reddie is ok and would be better in division 1 where he has team mates that can actually kick.

When you beat us, you probably should have won by more, its just lucky for us that oakleigh doesnt have an onball brigade.

I will tell you why Skinner cannot, and will not be able to make the step up to division 1.

Because he is an average battler in division 2.

His skills are poor at best, he doesnt read the ball well around the ground, and he is frightened to go in and get it, when you are scared like that, you atleast need to be quick and have great skills.

He will not play seniors in division 1 if he decided to leave.

Have just left and gone to Heatherton and we were chasing him as well.His old man played with the Tunners so we had a chat but,i think the lure of good $ and more importantly Div.1. footy was his main attraction to East.

I know i am supposed to support my club bleeding youngsters, but when i was told you would be playing this year i dead set nearly died.
How you were named in the best in your first game i will never know, grow some aggots and play football how it is supposed to be played.
