It only provides one number per player though. Not sure if it's the first number or the one with the most games.
This definitely clouds the issue. If you look here e.g.:- http://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/M/Maurice_Rioli.html
it shows that Rioli wore # 27 in his last two seasons, but the AFL Tables all-time list has him in # 17, where he played the bulk of his games.

This is what the Footy Works program has for games played/goals scored for Richmond in the number 27 guernsey:-

Fair enough. I'll give you what I've got, but the guernsey numbers aren't entirely reliable. They came from the defunct AFL historical statistics web pages.

Think the poster rbartlett might have done some research into Richmond guernsey numbers, might be worth a PM if you're after something more definitive.

Edit: Thought I was replying to PerthBoy87!

That seems strange though that only three Richmond players who has worn the number 27 has played 100 games.

Not really. I don't have any 28s, 31s or 36s playing 100 Richmond games, and only one 7, 13, 26, 37-40.

Not sure if it's still the tradition with the modern facilities, but 100-gamers used to get their names inscribed on their locker in perpetuity. Presumably 28, 31 & 36 are empty. Vlastuin certainly shapes as though he'll be the first 31, and it's something for Hunt to aspire to (and also McDonough if Hardwick will give him a game).

Yeah Krak has his name on the number 27 locker at Richmond.

Excluding those who never played, who was the last senior coach to play as fewer games as Mattie Egan? (59 games 2005-07.)

And where does Egan rank overall?

Dean Bailey 53 games.

Playing record followed by coaching record:

St Kilda, Geelong and Gold Coast all scored 97 points in Round 21.

a) Last time 3 teams kicked the same score in the same round?
b) Last time 3 teams kicked the same score on the same day?

Random observations: On the same day that 3 teams scored 97, two sides scored 44. In fact, two match scores were almost identical on the same day: 20.13.133-6.8.44 and 20.11.131-6.8.44.

The last eight occurrences in the same round include 2015 R20 & 21, 2014 R21, 2013 R23 and 2012 R23.

Who was the last player to have 440 disposals and kick 55 goals in a home and away season?

If there aren't many can you provide a full list?
I'm guessing it has never been done, if it has, then 5 or less times. Best I could find in the H&A season was:
Wayne Carey (1998) - 433 disposals and 73 goals
Brad Johnson (2006) - 426 disposals and 70 goals

All Australian discussion going on in my team thread. Question has come up and I'm curious too ... what is the smallest number of games played (regular season only) by a player who has made the All Australian team (and squad if available). Ablett Jnr. made it last year with 15 games. Is that the least ever, or has there been lower than that?

Presume you mean since 1991 when the annual AFL AA teams begin.

There are a few players in the "Carnival era 1953-88" who would have played 15 or less home-and-away matches in the year they were chosen.
Some of the earlier seasons in that era of course were shorter, being only 18 h/a + finals.

For example, Bill Hutchison (Essendon) in 1953 played 15 h/a games, and Darrel Baldock (St Kilda) in 1966 also played 15.
Hassa Mann (Melbourne) only played 14 in 1966.

Yeah I do. I meant since the AFL's AA as they basically have it now came about in 1991.

Thanks for your answer though, I'd forgotten about those carnival AA teams. I was fairly young then, but I do remember them now that you mention it.

Fremantle have currently held top spot for the past 13 rounds, despite not having kicked a century score during that time (including a bye). Is this a record for a team having such a sustained spell on top of the ladder?

Brian Cook was on Open Mike this week. Anyone know his jumper number? *Paul* ?

http://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/B/Brian_Cook.html
The Footy Works program has him in no. 20. He's also listed at that no. in the Football Record for the Round 12 game, and for the Melbourne vs. Carlton Night Series game.

The excellent Demonwiki site has him as #20:-
http://demonwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Brian Cook

The AFL Historical Statistics page for Melbourne 1977 shows it as 0.

Edit: The Football Record for the Melbourne vs. Essendon Night Series game (played before the 2 games mentioned above) has him in #51.

What's the highest 1/4 Time score where the final score was less than 100?

The record is 61 by North Melbourne vs. Essendon in 1960.
If you look at page 121 of Stats Observations you will see I have made a post about scores of 55 or more where the final score was less than 100.
