Is there anywhere to find what the team disposal, tackle, etc, stats were for each quarter??
On the AFL app, click on the relevant game, then the relevant player in the player stats link, and each player has their game result and you can then look at quarter by quarter near top LHS.

What's the longest a losing Grand Finalist team missed the finals for afterwards? I can only think of Adelaide making the 2017 Grand Final but missing the 2018-2022 finals, and Port Adelaide making the 2007 Grand Final and missing the 2008-2012 finals.

The longest drought is 25 years by South Melbourne. After finishing on top of the ladder in 1945 before losing the Grand Final to Carlton, the Swans did not play finals again until 1970.

Other long droughts are 13 years for Footscray (1961 to 1974) and Richmond (1982 to 1995) after losing a Grand Final.

Melbourne has the longest finals drought for a Premiership team - missing finals for 23 years from 1964 to 1987.

Essendon had a 10-year drought after its 1912 Premiership, not appearing in finals again until 1922. However, they played only
8 seasons in that time (they did not play in 1916 and 1917 due to World War One).

Always wondered, if a player gets a mark or free kick and the siren goes, does the kick or hand pass back to the umpire add to the played disposal tally? I think it should as shots at goals are allowed after the siren.
According to Sharrod Wellingham on the ABC last week, kicks do. He laughed because Luke Ryan always kicks it to the umpire to enhance his stats (rather than throwing, handballing or walking it to them).

I would do the same. I earned it after all…

Thanks the clarification

According to Champion Data's own FAQ page (FAQs – AFL – Champion Data), they only count if it's a realistic set shot for goal. The player would still be credited the possession/mark, but not the disposal.

Disposals after the siren

Q: What if a player has a disposal after the siren has sounded, does it count?

A: The game or quarter doesn’t officially end until the umpire acknowledges the siren by blowing the whistle and signalling the end of the quarter. All disposals executed before the umpire’s whistle will be included, regardless of whether the siren has sounded. Once the siren has sounded a disposal will only be recorded if a player has a genuine and realistic set shot for goal. If the player has taken the mark or won a free-kick and was having an unrealistic attempt at a shot at goal, then no disposal will be awarded. Also if an umpire deems a player has run off his line while having the shot no disposal will be recorded.

What is the most number of wins in a row between two teams. Collingwood and Port may have 12 and 13 wins this week, possibly 13 and 14 next week before they face off.

What's the highest point differential in a winning streak for a team. Has Collingwood currently broken the record? I'm thinking 500-600 points would be the record.

Dylan Williams for Port Adelaide has now played 14 career Games, all wins.

Ive heard that the VFL/AFL record is 16, but can’t find it anywhere.

St Kilda Geelong in Rd 14 2009 were both 13-0 unbeaten.

St Kilda got to 19-0 that year with a +740 pt differential over that time.

Also BTW Collingwood lost against Melbourne only 4 rounds ago.

The 1993 season saw three matches with new margins. These were Brisbane Bears over Sydney Swans by 162-points, Adelaide over Richmond by 139-points and Melbourne over Richmond by 121-points. There have been two more games decided by 139-points in 3 decades since, while it was close to 20 years to the day until another 121-point margin was achieved, oddly enough by Richmond over GWS late in 2013, and a decade later it hasn't come up again. The 162-point win by the Bears over the Swans has also come up again once since, when Hawthorn demolished GWS by this margin in 2012.

Some other seasons of note:

1979 - Collingwood beat St Kilda by 178-points to set a new record winning margin, only for Fitzroy to better it with a 190-point victory over Melbourne which stands to this day. No matches have produced 178 or 190 point margins since then.

1982 - Footscray endured a wretched 1982 season, copping a number of century thrashings, among them going down by 146-points to Essendon and 143-points to Hawthorn. No other games have produced those margins before or since.

1983 - In a sense of de ja vu, Essendon trounced the now-improved Footscray Bulldogs by 132-points, a margin never seen before or since. Fitzroy also beat North Melbourne by 150-points, a unique margin until Geelong beat the Gold Coast by the same number of points in 2011. North Melbourne would themselves beat the Swans by 140-points, a margin not seen before but which would be the first of three times it would come up in five years (Carlton over St Kilda in 1985, Essendon over Brisbane in 1988, but not since)

1986 - This season saw 124-points (Sydney d. Melbourne) and 135-points (Hawthorn d. Geelong) for the first time.

1987 - During a high-scoring patch in the middle of the year, the Sydney Swans beat the West Coast Eagles by 130-points and Essendon by 163-points, new margins that haven't reoccurred since.

1991 - Before this year, there had not been a margin of 131-points, but it would come up twice in the early part of the season, by Melbourne over Fitzroy in Round 2 and by St Kilda over Adelaide in Round 7. Hawthorn also set a new margin of 157-points when they thrashed Fitzroy in Hobart in Round 6.

1992 - Victories of 164 points by Geelong over the Brisbane Bears in Round 7 and 160 points by Hawthorn over Essendon in Round 20 are margins not seen before or since.

Has anyone ever played for all three Melbourne teams; Melbourne, North Melbourne and South Melbourne? Paul Bryce played for the Demons, Kangaroos and Swans, but this was in the early 1990s and South Melbourne had moved to Sydney by this time.

Are there any players who have played for all three feline teams - Geelong Cats, Richmond Tigers and either the Fitzroy or Brisbane Lions?

Emuboy, I can answer your first question.
The 2 players who spring to mind are Shane Zantuck and Daryl Cumming.
Zantuck played 5 games for North Melbourne (1974-76), 56 games for South Melbourne (1977-80) and 88 games for Melbourne (1981-86).
Cumming, who ironically played the bulk of his senior football with Richmond (88 games, 1971-76), played 10 games for Melbourne (1977), 1 game for North Melbourne (1978) and 10 games for South Melbourne (1979).
So, Cumming represented 4 different clubs in 4 successive seasons, a feat also managed by Charlie Anderson (Carlton, South Melbourne, Richmond, Footscray) and Mark Athorn (Footscray, Fitzroy, Sydney, Carlton).
As an aside, Richard Chirgwin represented 4 clubs (Richmond, Footscray, South Melbourne, North Melbourne) in 3 years, as he played for both Footscray and South in 1940, bookended by Richmond (1939) and North (1941).

Allan Davis - half forward flanker - played the bulk of his career ( like Cumming of Rich ) at Stk early to mid 70s then he went to a stack of clubs

Assuming the Eagles lose today and both North Melbourne and the Eagles lose next week, they will play each other in Round 20 and both teams will have a 16 game losing streak. If these happen, this has to be a record for a matchup where both teams have the same losing streak?

Interestingly the 1979 game at Victoria Park, Collingwood were on the bottom of the ladder when they set that record.
Without a doubt the biggest winning margin for a VFL/AFL bottom placed side in the competition's history.

The 1991 game at North Hobart, I was witness to that one live.
The Roys were a rabble and Hawthorn just tore up and down the ground in waves all afternoon.
That was the day a spectator jumped the fence and began "coaching" the Fitzroy team at the quarter time huddle before Robert Shaw got out there. Gave them a huge spray to the incredulous looks on the faces of players and support staff!

After a very brief check, I believe you are correct. The closest I can find is when Geelong and North Melbourne played each other in round 11, 1972. Both teams went in to battle with 11-game losing streaks.
