Ah yes, it's late and I stuffed up, wouldn't want to take the #1 pick off you! The number of wooden spooners winning their last match remains at 13.
.
Yes. How dare you try to take it off us. :)

Whilst talking about wooden spoons what is the full list of wooden spoons for each club ?
Which club has the most ?

27 St.Kilda
13 North Melbourne
12 Melbourne
11 Hawthorn, Sydney
7 Fitzroy, Richmond
5 Geelong
4 Carlton, Essendon, Western Bulldogs, University
3 Brisbane
2 Collingwood, Greater Western Sydney
1 Fremantle, Gold Coast, West Coast
0 Adelaide, Port Adelaide

Still reckon Richmond is credited with the 1916 spoon unfairly.

Thanks.
Did not realize Melbourne had won as many wooden spoons as they won premierships until now.
Very interesting.
Hawthorn have overtaken their wooden spoon count with premierships now.

It has been well observed by Bulldogs supporters that this season we have doubled our total of wins from last season. How often has a team performed this feat? (including finals)
How often has a team tripled its wins from one season to the next? (including finals)

Andrew Carrazzo had 33 possessions in his final match yesterday.

What is the most possessions recorded by a player in his final match?

Right now... Tom Rockliff (45) ;)

Daniel Cross had 39 today in his final game (Edit: pls ignore, incorrect). Scott Clayton (37) leads among past players. Voss, Hird & Gerard Healy all had 34. Michael James, a 12-gamer for Carlton, had 33, as did teammate Andrew Phillips. Adrian Fletcher also had 33.

NB These only date back as far as Paul's stats go, i.e. 1965.

Cross had 25, maybe he thought he had 39 after he got knocked out ;)

I asked the question, I chose how to word it. You don't get to interpet it how you choose.

What drugs are you on clown ?
Get a grip on reality.
Like I said, think before you post.
I never even answered your question.
I was responding to a post with Ron where he made the innocent mistake of thinking Brisbane were the wooden spooners.
Only the 14th time that the wooden spooner has won its final game. Previous high score conceded in a win - 91 by Brisbane v St.Kilda 1998.

Brisbane are not the wooden spooners in 2015. That win helped them avoid it.

Get some bloody awareness before you talk absolute nonsense and attack someone for most ridiculous pompous self absorbed thinking I have seen in a long bloody time.
You might want to grow some awareness about other people.

How often has a team scored the most points and conceded the least at the end of the home & away season?

Would have thought quite a lot of teams would have.
Maybe once or twice a decade.
I will be surprised if it is only 4 or 5 in whole history.

Came back after having a quick look at last 10 seasons.
Collingwood was last team to do it in 2011, Geelong before that in 2008 and also Geelong in 2007.
So three times in last ten years without looking back each season beyond that.
Someone else may quickly look it up in some database and answer fully for you tomorrow.

At the risk of seeming to fixate on Hawthorn's percentage - how many times has a side finished the H/A season with the best ranked offence AND defence? (i.e. highest average score for, lowest average score against). Has any previous side to achieve this ever not finished on top?

This is similar to hawkman's question above. Clubs with the highest points for and lowest points against after H&A ('H&A' here defined as after the sectional rounds for seasons 1898-1907):

Not sure of the relevance of tables from a hundred years ago, but the dominant scoreboard team has failed to win the flag more often than not (11-14).

Second set of figures exclude already-retired players Sylvia, Waters, Foley, Petterd, Reilly, Grima.

St.Kilda 1905 & 1911, and Fitzroy 1974 managed to finish one rung above the bottom.

Longest gap between two premierships for a player.

I have Drew Banfield at 12 years (234 games) between West Coast's wins in 1994 and 2006.

Are there any longer gaps?

Thanks Ron - I had forgotten about Doug Wade.

The 234 games I had for Banfield is the number of games he played between the 1994 Grand Final (game #31) and 2006 Grand Final (game #265).

For Wade, the difference is 218 games from the 1963 Grand Final (game #49) and 1975 Grand Final (game #267).

The other two players with gaps of over 200 games are Gavin Wanganeen with 215 games (1993 Grand Final was game #61, 2004 Grand Final was game #276) and Barry Davis with 209 games (1965 Grand Final was game #80, 1975 Grand Final was game #289).

With Will Minson coming back into the Bulldogs side, I am thinking there is a very good chance he is subbed off (injuries permitting).

I also think there is a very good chance that Caleb Daniel wears the green vest.

Minson (199cm) and Daniel (167cm).

So my question is, what's the largest differential in height between the two subs from the same team in a match?
