Nah, I am 100% confident that a highly rated midfielder will land at the Lions with pick #7.......now all we need is another one with pick #25 (hopefully Vossys inside knowledge of the AIS scholars gets us a sneaky pick).

With his draft camp results has Steele overtaken the likes of Yarran, Zeibel and Hartlett into the TOP 5?

I was reasonably sure a week ago that we were planning to take Yarran if available at 7.
Further information would seem to point that it is now an almost dead cert. Never heard so much corroborating information from various sources before.
I don't think Sidebottom will be a Lion next year, although if Yarran goes before our pick, who knows what our backup is?

After performing so well in the TAC cup final his stocks have risen and he has been talked about, as you would after scoring 10 goals in a grand final.
I'm just curious , does anyone now what he was expected to go before his big TAC cup final performance?

VC always had him a little higher then everyone else and he justified that in the TAC cup GF.
Before that most people had him 1st round, i'd even say that most had him top 10, but after that he went from being a late top 10 to late 1st round pick, to being a certain top 10 & as high as about pick 4 or 5.

Mind you, I haven't bothered to do rankings this year considering I don't know what I'm talking about by and large, but just on what I have seen, I'd have him at about #4 as well.
I'm hoping he slips through to Collingwood, but you won't be a happy man if that happens, will you?

I do hope Sidebottom will come to Crows if available.
Steele is the question mark for me. He could go as low as Collingwoods pick or as high as Essendons. I wouldnt put any money on (even though your not) him. Essendon may go him because they dont have many kicking midfielders, but they also may go Hartlett.

At the time it was Hamish Hartlett, but he's slid a bit further now for me. I currently rate Naitanui as my #4.
