Dank swears the Essendon players never took anything illegal, but refuses to talk to ASADA or provide any sort of evidence.

He also refuses to talk to ASADA about Nathan Bock.

Then Bock gets cleared due to a lack of evidence.

So Dank comes out and says 'but I sold Bock illegal drugs'.

So ASADA re-open the case on 'new evidence'.

At which point Dank refuses to talk to them.

Has Dank passed Ricky Nixon in the chase for the 'Dumbest man in football' title, or is he a comic genius the likes of which we have never seen before?

Strange defence I agree may be viable

I'm not guilty of attempted trafficking im actually guilty of trafficking but haha you not appealing that charge.

That would be like saying "Joy Blow just died in hospital so i am innocent of attempted murder which is all I am charged with. Suckerz !!!!!" I am pretty sure that new charges could be layed against Dank if new evidence comes to light .... .

difference though.. Charged vs verdict delivered.

If charged, charges can be amended, it's rare and only recently allowed in some states, that you can be retried for a crime that has had a final verdict rendered on. That's true double jeopardy.

Would only work at the AFL appeals tribunal any way.. WADA has appealed his not guilty verdict to CAS.

How could something like that happen? Whose friends were they? I know there's some nice smiley photos of james with some of them.
 
Every time you reach the point that you think that this saga has run out of steam, someone does something mindbogglingly stupid and we are off and running again.o_O

At least this time it's a reprieve for the EFC supporters.

Are there any Suns supporters on the board at all?

I'd say that this is "the shot across the stern" to the Suns, the "the shot across the bow" was the earlier announcement that he provided a banned substance to Bock.
Now we wait and see how they react.
Given the way that the club supposedly (according to Dank) cut him quickly and cleanly, is there Cronulla-style shenanigans that the club is aware of?
That the AFL is also aware of.

I hope that the long-suffering Essendon regulars here are noting how quickly I am warming to Suns-foaming! :p
