Agreed. As much as i like Stephen, I dont think it would be the best idea.

During the year I was listening to the ABC where he Stephen is a commentator. He was asked if he was interested in coaching and he said that he was more interested in developing the younger players.

Sorry I cannot be more specific it was awhile ago.

Don't think he has the tactical nous for AFL - nor the time with work commitments. And the players hear enough from Mark about playing the Port Adelaide way.

I'm not one for nepotism at the best of times. I reckon it'd be a bad move. He might be ok with the "rookies" as an advisor type role, but not a full-on assistant coaching position.

Agreed. It's a bonus that we have Choco as the coach to lead us to the first AFL flag - being a PAFC man through and through, but I'm happier with all other coaching/fitness/on-field related roles being filled with people from elsewhere. Preferably one's who haven't been with Choco at other clubs so we get the maximum amount of input from guys exposed to different clubs ways. There's a big difference between honouring the past and being chained to it, taking on S. Williams seems like too much of the latter for me.
