Just had a quick browse through the EPG for Se7en's new channel and noticed they've acquired the rights to old Strikeforce bouts.

ONE showing old UFC and now 7Two showing old Strikeforce... me fink it mazing.

Yeah, and they're also airing Strikeforce directly opposite UFC Wired on ONE which is interesting.

ONE is giving some prominent attention to the UFC on their site now as well. They've created a sub-site that details all of the rules and has a fact sheet that they pretty much copied straight from the UFC's site. Notably, it also says there's more UFC programming to come. They started with the 104 Countdown last week, maybe they're looking at obtaining the rights to air some live fight cards or TUF.

NitroFan, WEC recently signed a deal to air live on Setanta. First event they showed was the Cerrone vs Henderson card a few weeks ago.

Anyone know if Strikeforce Nashville is being shown on 7TWO?

It'd be awesome if it's live or even delayed the same day so I don't have to watch it on justin tv.

Shields vs Hendo
Mousasi vs King Mo
Melendez vs Aoki

I'm actually very excited for a Strikeforce event!

Im looking forward to this upcoming SF event more than UFC 112. SF doin big things, only gripe is the HW situation, Rogers fighting for the belt is pathetic, but this fight will be insane.

Yeah amazing event for FREE.

More MMA is great for us fans.

And why nobody should support a monopoly in MMA.

I want all the best fighters under one roof, if that's your dreaded monopoly then I say bring it on.

Another thing about SF the production is utter crap. Casual fans would fall asleep watching SF if what they do currently is as good as they can do then they'll never live up to your ufc-slaying ideal scenario.

I don't want them at all to "slay" the UFC. I love watching the UFC, always have, but I can certainly see areas it could improve.

And best fighters fighting each other would be solved if the UFC co-operated with other orgs. You dont need them under the one roof.

i.e Dream sends Zaromskis over the SF, SF sends Diaz over to Dream, etc

If the UFC was the only org we'd have no choice but accept what they showed, they could charge what they want, serve us whatever crap they told us and there would be nobody else to 'keep them honest'. They take enough liberty in their "UFC bubble" as it is, ("Maia is easily the best jiu jitsu player in MMA!"), I want some counter balance in the world of MMA.

It would be like a government without an opposition.

I see co-operation (even once a year in a Mega MMA event) as a much more attractive situation personally. Without co-operation, we'd never see Aoki vs Melendez. That is just awesomeness. Even if the UFC won every division, inter-org fights have so much more meaning and anticipation than regular fights.

If you had a choice you'd seriously choose monopoly over co-operation?

Co-operation stuffquote]

It might be nice in theory dude, but there are so many things that would not work in the UFC's favour that there is no point in them doing it.

Although they did do UFC vs PRIDE, but look what happened there lol.

There was an ad for Strikeforce on main event the other day. They said it was coming soon and they showed a lot of Jake Shields which is funny considering he might not be there anymore.

It'd be shit if they're charging for Strikeforce when they're free in the US.
