For some peoples info. The umpire can stop the clock completely if a player loses a shoe or is doing up his shoelace. Umpires discretion.

I have never understood why you need 30 seconds to have a shot on goal and are allowed maybe 5 seconds everywhere else on the ground.
But even if you are allowed the 30 seconds it should not come off the clock, clock should be stopped and start again once the ball is kicked.
Again something so simple which the AFL can’t get right.
Pretty sure the wave was directed at the man on the mark because he was pissing and moaning at how long the shot was taking
You want to talk about time wasting?
How about when bounces in the middle get recalled and time doesn't go back on the clock???????????????
Or just not restart the clock until the ball is touched by a player, or lands on the ground if nobody touches it.They should pay a free kick against the ump when this happens
Yeah, especially if the Monday footy media shows make a big deal about it. The types like Gerard Healy have never seen a proposed rule change they didn’t like.
The umpire was telling him to hurry up, should just stfu and let him use his allotted time.
spot on mateAs opposed to us folks on BigFooty who have filled 10 pages on the topic?
We like to complain about the media, but they are merely giving us what we want - they souldn’t be in business otherwise. That includes giving us something to complain about.
