Lauren Bella is leading hit outs to advantage in the AFLW
Sure, but she isn’t a dominant player (to the eye test). I’m not saying she is bad, just like Witts isn’t bad. They are good, but overall they don’t impact the game after a tap to put them into elite ruck territory.

Watching bits and pieces of this game, Suns girls do the same thing every play. Go down the broadcast side and get picked off when bombing forward… literally every play is the same.

Lynch has saved us countless times though.

North are a very good and well-drilled side though—polar opposite to their men’s team 😉

Did you or the club delete your comment on the facebook post? Disappointing if it was the club
No I didn’t delete anything. So therefore the club. Yeah that’s piss poor.
My comment is still visible to me when I look at the page, so they must be able to make certain comments not visible.
So they have done that to many posts be it by me or others that calls for accountability.

Haha thanks for the comparison.
I’m glad robo alerted to me to this. I have been thinking something was amiss with the FB comments for a while.
Looks like the club is censoring me while at the same time being very happy to take my money.

They are just looking for a KFC sponsorship (shut up and take my money).

That's embarrassing. What are they going to get all upset being told they are not good enough.
Wow how soft is that.

Heard last week from someone heavily involved with one of the big Melbourne AFLW clubs it’s looking likely we loose Rowbottom this off season. She’s keen to head back to Melbourne. Who could blame her with what the team dished up this season.

To be honest and IMO, she was ordinary this year. Yes, great inside, gets a lot of possesions but she is slow, terrible disposal, bad non-penetrating kick, not great runner, can't cover the ground, often panicked. She should lose some muscles, too heavy.

Wouldnt it be lovely if we lost Charlie and Daisy but kept Sesseyaro and Joyce

I’m ok with Rowbottom having those faults. She is excellent at what she does. Her size lets her fend of or shrug tackles.

Similar Rowell for us (though really, she’s more of a Cripps as a big body contested mid), she has a linear role in the team. Still early in her career too.

I think we are short two good mids to work with her inside work. Whitfort and Single aren’t enough, it seems. Harris in the draft might be one?

I do concede her speed, annd overall our team was too slow. Need a bit more dahs and dare. Seems AFLW is moving away from contested brand (a few years behind the men), which you can see with the top teams. But Rowbottom is still the type of player our team needs.

I may be a bit harsh on her. She is one of many of our players who is not in shape. I watched a lot of AFLW games including all Suns games. It's a huge difference compared to better teams. We can't keep up. Just look at Lions players. All in great shape, running, spreading. North, Crows the same.

Her kick also drives me nuts. She can't kick it, just kind of looping it 20m.

We as a team regressed.

I don’t think you are being too harsh. Not much use getting 30 possessions when 20 of them go to the opposition or you get caught trying to take on 4 players. She has so much talent but tries to do too much by herself.
Also agree on the team fitness level. The strength and conditioning team needs a massive rev. The team simply couldn’t compete from a running perspective.

I will change my profile picture from Chuckles Rowbottom to Sessarago just for Boddsy....

i heard these whispers as far back as Round 2. Apparently she has had a contract in front of her all season. If she was staying she would have signed it by now one would think. Our performances this season haven’t helped either. Watching her body language and the way she connects with her teammates has got me nervous that she is out the door.

Looks like another rebuild if we lose our biggest name. Need to lure a big fish which will be difficult. May as well take Cameron and Fiona too and start again from scratch

Couldn't agree more. No point winning first possession when it goes nowhere.
Doesn't defend and leaves it to her other midfield team mates to cover for her. Garner's first goal on the weekend was a perfect example of where Charlie just stood at the contest and watched her run away, create the extra number and kick a goal.
Maybe the coaches were worried about being too critical because she was looking elsewhere but it isn't setting the right standard to be successful if you're best player is allowed to pick and choose.
None of them look fit enough compared to players from the top teams.
