The rendition of this song sent a shutter up my spine Team song: Gold Coast (goldcoastfc.com.au) Hopefully the buy in of our boys is there and we can enjoy this passion for years to come. We are ranked 18th in the competition for age and experience but we are rising to the occasion and silencing the biased anti suns media. The passion in this song by the boys is evident - keep rising up SUNS!

What got me was the passion shown by the two female trainers (in mauve) directly opposite the camera.........how much did it mean to them?

Loved it!

Let's get around Wil Powell for Goal of the Round and Alex Sexton for Mark of the Round honors this week guys.

Is Damian Barrett serious? What an absolute guppy! Wright is incredibly overrated he's had one good game at the Bombers. Last week he beat up on a player in Schache who shouldn't even be on an AFL list. Barrett then has the audacity to question how we will handle Wright! :tearsofjoy: One simple word: Collins. Wright will be lucky to even get a touch little own a goal. damo.PNG

Don't worry Barrett has always been a Suns Hater. Really hates how inconsistent we are, thats our bad

He’s stretching the truth but not by that much, we could of used 2MP this year

on the upside we did get a great draft hand for him

Underrating 7 goals in an AFL match-now that's hilarious
It's done incredibly rarely
Just walking out on an AFL ground to play is hard let alone slotting 7 goals
What's unbelievable is you and others continue to bury your head in the sand and stick your fingers in your ears so you can't hear every other non Suns AFL fan laughing at us for giving away a decent 23yo forward ruck to buy a hack Adelaide reject half back flanker on similar coin
BTW-you may have missed his Anzac Day match? He probably won that for Essendon
On one of the biggest AFL stages.
Anyway no-one's changing their position on this and he isn't coming back
But what Barrett has written is what the football world thinks
It will take a severe form slump `and 2MP being dropped to convince them otherwise- and I'm sure you'll death ride him just so your opinion is validated
Clubs don't just give away talent in the 22-27yoa range but we do
This isn't about 2MP's game last week, this is about his consistency all year for Essendon
We know he has been inconsistent and looks weak in contests but I will go to my grave believing he is better than Sam Day and should have been retained
Having said that no way he kicks a bag today-for one thing 7-0 is usually 4-3 or 3-4

Classic Barrett.

Wonder how long he's had that one holstered ready to go?

Vic Bias and Suns Shaming at its most obvious.

Couldn't write his way out of a wet paper bag.

We deserve all we get where it comes to Lyons,Wright, Brodie and lack of development of high draft picks.

The enablers of Dew and Haines are a huge problem too.

Not sure the long suffering fans deserve it but I get what you are saying

Sure, it’s fair. About as fair as also praising recruiters for acquiring players like Witts, Greenwood, Markov, Holman etc. from other clubs for the junk picks we gave up who become staple best 22 for us. The fact is every team has players that, for whatever reason, don’t work out at the team and go on to make a name for themselves. We have a handful, and we’ve lost a handful. Any club in the league could tell the same story of misery and of shrewd trading in equal measure, of players that could never “crack in” who go on to be jets that prove the club wrong, or of fans who are vindicated when these players don’t make it after all. It’s a cut throat business. Sometimes players and clubs just need to cut ties for the benefit of one, or both, parties.

The fact is only the best teams keep all their best players and their future talent, or replace talent by attracting new talent; and we have not been that—ever. So we take risks and punts on certain players to develop; sometimes they pay off (Powell, Ballard etc.) sometimes they don’t (Brodie, Wright, Lyons etc.). When you’re at the bottom and cap space is tight, that’s what happens. You win some, you lose some…

Recruitment is only as good as development and outside our top 18/22 development has been/is pretty average.. I think adding Rhys Shaw and entering the VFL has helped but I think this area still needs work

Being stuck in the NEAFL for years has hurt us immensely. The level of talent hasn't been good enough to develop players
